We went to Ossobuco last night with my partner and tried their Miami Spice Dinner Menu priced at $60 per person. The menu includes four courses, and we decided to order different items so we could share everything.
We started with two Penicillin Cocktails – absolutely delicious – and then switched to a bottle of Couly-Dutheil Chinon Le Clos de l’Olive red wine. On our last glass, we noticed the wine was slightly corked, but it was still a delicious, full-bodied red.
For our appetizers: • Empanada Ossobuco (braised ossobuco with herb aioli): it comes with only one empanada, but it’s very fulfilling. • Beef Carpaccio (prime beef, arugula, balsamic aioli, crispy onion, parmesan): I normally don’t like carpaccio, but the hint of spice in the sauce made this dish my favorite of the night. • From outside the Miami Spice menu, we also added the Harissa Tuna Tartare (with eggplant conserva, currants, tahini yogurt, and pani puri). It was unique — very cumin-forward (if that was the spice) — different from any tuna tartare I’ve had before.
For our second course: • Osso Bone Marrow (ossobuco marmalade with grilled corn and smoked chimichurri): My boyfriend loved it. I personally think it needed a better balance, maybe with something more than just bread. • Cauliflower (served with sweet chili sauce, sour cream togarashi, and crushed peanuts): crispy and flavorful. • We also added Pulpo a la Parilla (grilled octopus, pickled onions, and red chimichurri) from the regular menu — excellent.
For mains: • Ricotta Gnocchi a la Plancha (ossobuco ragu, cherry tomato, truffle cream, parmesan): This one didn’t impress me — I couldn’t really taste the truffle. • Steak Frites (8 oz New York strip, wagyu fat potatoes, harissa aioli, chimichurri, sautéed onions): absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked.
For dessert: • Churros & Dulce de Leche (served with cinnamon sugar and chocolate sauce): the perfect sweet ending. • Fat Washed Espresso Martini (smoked butter fat-washed vodka & cognac, coffee, topped with ricotta foam): fantastic — rich, balanced, and memorable.
Fabrizzio was our server, and despite some of the negative comments we’ve read elsewhere, his service was absolutely great — attentive, friendly, and professional.
A couple of notes: I wish there was a bit more space between the tables, but I loved the table-side coat rack — a stylish and thoughtful touch that’s perfect for bags and coats.
Overall Favorites: • Beef Carpaccio • Empanada Ossobuco • Pulpo a la Parilla • Cauliflower • Steak Frites
I can definitely see myself coming back just for the Penicillin Cocktail and the Fat Washed Espresso Martini. Thank you, Fabrizzio — we...
Read moreMe and my fiancé came here because of a YouTube video with the Guga and chef Guillermo. We drove 22 hours from Michigan. ( definitely worth it!) Everything from the time we walked in, to the time we left was beautiful. Luis was one of the best servers I’ve had in a while, he was super friendly, and knowledgeable. He really took care of us. Even the bar tender sent us a pallet cleanser wine, which was fresh and tasty. I came for the lamb chops which were good. Although I don’t know if I’d come back for them. However I would come back for the short rib lettuce wrap. Which was perfect. My fiancé had the house picanha , which was amazing. It had great flavor and the perfect doneness. We also tried their empanadas, which are these decadent puff pastries, filled with osso buco. The drinks are also really good. They are true adult beverages lol. I tried a margarita, that came with a smoky bubble on top, that you get to pop yourself along with tajin on the rim. Which tasted like a smoky mango Mexican candy. It was delicious. I also had a Hennessy drink that’s on their menu. It has notes of banana and some other fruits in there. And it comes with a huge block of ice. It wasn’t too sweet. It was like a smooth dark fresh fruit taste. All the flavors from the foods from this restaurant were delicious divine and perfect. We topped it off with dessert. I had the smoked pineapple ice cream, which was divine!!! I will definitely be coming back to do a repeat and try other things on the menu as well. While we were there, the ambience was so beautiful warm and inviting great for the perfect date night. Another cool thing that we learned while we were there is that all the meats are handpicked by the chef himself. Which just speaks volumes to the flavor profiles. I believe that I can honestly say that this is one of the best steakhouses that I have ever dinned at. Definitely worth every penny. Speaking of price I was expecting to spend around five to $600. We ended up spending just under $430, for two that includes the 20% gratuity and additional tip on top of that. Which in my book was not bad considering I was celebrating my fiancé, and treating him, because he spoils me all the time. He had hit a milestone with his YouTube channel ( Batakai VS the World) , and what better way to celebrate with nice road trip to one of the best Steak houses! 10/10 would highly recommend. ( just make sure you book your...
Read moreI visited this place after seeing it on the steak master Guga
s YouTube video (y'all check him out) because I respect his passion for food as I love delicious things just the same. When I tell you good people this place is more than exceptional! If heaven had an Argentinian restaurant, I'm sure it would be located in Wynwood right where ossobuco sits! Chef G is amazing! he was standing right there when i walked in the day before my birthday and took the time out to show me his dry age project he's running right behind of the hostess counter. The food is outstanding, I tried the Pichana Steak cooked to medium as my main (which was simply amazing). The steak came out so tender and full of flavor 9.5/10 steak and I
m tough on steaks. My sides where the potatoes and the broccolini both which were delicious. The croquetas and Empanadas are what i had for starters and those were delicious. The croquetas were delicious and bursting with flavor. Very Rich if you know what I mean. However, I could make a whole separate post about the empanadas. This man has effectively ruined my taste for empanadas. I won't be eating any more unless it comes from Ossobuco only!!! these things were off the charts and packed with meat. The service and atmosphere are impeccable. They do an excellent job training their staff on customer experience and exceeded my expectations. From the servers to the bar staff, everyone was friendly, patient, and informative! I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. I had been so impressed, my lady and I returned the very next day to do my birthday dinner here. Chef G absolutely laid it out for me. Shots with the Chef, Unforgettable!! The owner, if I'm not mistaken, was also there and gave me and my lady some shots of Mexica Tequila (which I recommend anyone reading this go try ASAP if you like tequila, super smooth) Then I was gifted two lychee martinis to top the meal off! I absolutely was blown away by Ossobuco, Chef G and the staff for making my time there an amazing experience and making my birthday dinner a special one. This place is a must try if you're a steak house aficionado, an experimental eater, or if you just love delicious food. Highly...
