If you havenât been served by Hugo at The Sylvester, I hate to break it to you, but youâre missing out on a core life experience. This man isnât just a bartenderâheâs a cocktail wizard, a charisma machine, and possibly an undercover celebrity because thereâs no way someone this talented and good-looking is just casually making drinks for us mere mortals.
Letâs talk about the drinksâhe doesnât just mix them, he elevates them. You think youâre ordering a simple margaritaâ but then it arrives, and suddenly youâre questioning if youâve ever actually tasted a margarita before. The precision? Unmatched. The confidence? Magnetic. The way he shakes a cocktail? Honestly, someone should be filming it in slow motion. This guys shoulder mobility is astonishing, Iâve never seen a more limber individual in my life.
And then thereâs the earrings. The single, dangly fkn earring that just adds to the whole enigmatic, effortlessly cool, probably-a-main-character energy. Itâs giving âmysterious but fun,â âdangerous but safe,â and âI know how to make a Ramos gin fizz but also probably have great taste in music with bands and artists that definitely have a couple of allegationsâ
Hugo is the moment. Come for the cocktails, stay for the vibes, and mentally prepare yourself because once he makes your drink, no other bartender will...
Read moreWould never guess how cute this place is by looking at it from the outside. When you walk in youâre transported into a cool retro living room with a lot of little areas to lounge and a long bar. I came with a group of friends and we posted up at the bar. I was first to arrive and by myself and the girl who sat next to me told right away that she loved this bar and it was her fave. So already off to a great start before I even ordered anything.
The bartender that greeted me was really nice and went ahead and let me know they were on happy hour and showed me the menu of cocktails. They had a good selection too on the HH menu. She also showed me the special themed menu they had for 4th of July which included an open bar from 6-8, in honor of 4th of July. The names of the cocktails are all very Miami and very funny. I had the Merge or Die which was like drinking summer in a glass. I really liked it. Our next bartender Robert was awesome and did a great job mixing the open bar drinks for us, if youâre looking for great service heâs the guy for sure. While we were there the DJ started up and he had great mix of 90s RNB, reggaeton, and classic bops. All in all, this is a great choice to enjoy some quality cocktails and...

I recently visited The Sylvester in Miami, and it quickly became one of my favorite spots in the city! From the moment you walk in, the retro-chic dĂŠcor sets the perfect vibe for a relaxing yet fun evening. The atmosphere is both cozy and lively, making it ideal for a night out with friends or even a casual date.
The cocktails are a real standout! Each drink is crafted with such attention to detail, and the flavors are innovative yet perfectly balanced. I tried the âFlorida Manâ and it was exceptionalârefreshing and packed with tropical flavors. Their small bites are just as impressive, especially the empanadas!
The staff is friendly and attentive, always making sure your glass is never empty. They really go above and beyond to make you feel welcome.
Overall, if youâre looking for a unique spot in Miami with great drinks, delicious bites, and a cool, laid-back atmosphere, The Sylvester is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
