Usually like this spot but your bar service was absolutely awful today. No dropping menus, no dropping waters, can't get the bartender to ask a very simple "need a beer?", seems he's too busy chasing tips from bigger tables to bother with a single person at the bar. Was told the kitchen was on pause for 30 minutes cos its backed up? So I can't put an order in and just wait? What kind of kitchen just shuts down orders because they can't do the only thing they're supposed to do? If your kitchen can't handle a 80% full restaurant, you need a new kitchen. Seemed to be working just fine for the 4 top that walked in 30 minutes after I did, but then again if your barstaff had done their job and actually serviced their section, I probably would have made the cutoff. Sitting for 20 minutes with an empty glass in front of me isn't a good look. Couldn't even be bothered to pick up the previous persons tab off the bar in front of me. I get being busy, I've worked in the service industry all my life, but this screams of mismanagement and ineptitude.
Edit: despite my business clearly not being wanted, not only did your bartender not tell me the kitchen was open again (when I made my intention to buy food perfectly clear when I initially asked to put an order in), but 3 parties that walked in after me by over an hour got served food first. On top of that, I was brought some chicken thing and not the actual curds I ordered. I was just drinking PBRs and ordered a single food item and by the time I did, there were only about 20 people in the place. How can you drop the ball that bad? Isaac was by far the least attentive bartender I've ever encountered, probably needs to stop hitting his vape while pouring beers on top of maybe getting some actual bartending training. To cap it off, no offer to make things right. I was noticeably dissatisfied, yet he seemed to cut a $5 off discount to a couple that walked in to the bar an hour after me and got both appetizers and entrée served before I got my (initially wrong) order. $47.68 bucks for 5 PBRs and cheese curds. Incredibly disappointed. Again, I usually like this spot despite it's tourist attraction status, usually spots that cater around tourists don't have solid food to back it up but yall do. But I couldn't believe how deprioritized I was, idk if it's cos how I look or dress cos a couple business suit single tops seemed to be well attended to, or if your bartender thought I didn't belong, or whatever the excuse was, but it was an unacceptable level of inattention. I will for sure be deprioritizing...
Read moreWent here because it was close to where we were staying and the food looked good. The building is nice but we were severely disappointed in our experience there. The place looked semi-busy but all the tables we could see already had their orders and were about ready to leave. We were seated and it took about 15 minutes for our waitress to come and get our drink order but we had no drink list so she grabbed one and didn’t come back for another 10 minutes. We ordered one beer and a soda and it was another 10-15 minutes before we got those. We should have left then, it never got better. It took over an hour after ordering our food before we received it. My Mac n cheese was cold and mediocre, pretty sure I paid $3 for one slice of bacon to be added. My husband’s pizza pretzel was way overcooked, he could hardly cut through it, and they didn’t give nearly enough sauce for the size of the pretzel. Our food was brought out by someone who wasn’t our waitress which is fine, but our waitress never once came to check on us until we were done eating! No drink refills, no way to tell her that our food was cold and overdone. She never brought us our bill so we had to go ask the guy at the front if we could pay him or at the bar and he had to go find her. She kept disappearing and was nowhere to be seen. She would intentionally stay by the bar so there was no way to wave her over to get...
Read moreIt was the best hotel experience I’ve ever had! And this says a lot because I’ve traveled throughout the United States and Europe as well as Asia. I made my reservations directly with Chloe. She was absolutely amazing! One of the nicest people I’ve ever met on earth. I had told her that due to Covid when I got married to my wife Jillian we could not have a honeymoon. And asked her if I could get nice room with a good view, she gave me the best room and my last name is Beer. This room even has doors that have windows that go to the bedroom that look like glasses of beer! We had a bottle of champagne, waiting for us. The room was absolutely incredible and one of the cleanest best rooms I’ve ever been in! The whole staff was absolutely wonderful!!! We became friends with the manager of taps, the bar downstairs and the shuttle driver. He gave us recommendations of everything to do in Milwaukee, including the safe room. The view from our room on the top floor look down over all the beer vats. Mr. and Mrs. Beer came for the Oktoberfest or German fest had never been in Milwaukee before and plan on coming many times in the future!! And this is mostly because of the hospitality and the wonderful people at the brewhouse! Chloe, We want to give...
