I'm honestly very surprised by all the 4 and 5 star reviews, as this place is a clinic in how to scare off repeat business and customer loyalty.
I walked in, explored the menu and rang myself up on the tablet. During that process I was told to grab a table number from the counter and enter it as I was dining in, then told my order would be brought to me. Completed my order, which was a Double Bacon Cheeseburger ($11.29), Cheese Fries ($4.99), and a Large 50/50 Lemonade ($4.49). My total for a tax for a burger, cheesefries, and a drink was $20.77. While the food was tasty, it wasn't tasty enough to justify the outrageous pricing, nor were the portion sizes up to par for those prices either. Not even close.
Right after I paid that ridiculous amount, I was asked to tip. Interestingly enough, they never even bothered to bring my order to my table like the kiosk and my receipt said they would. It eventually got called with an annoyed tone out after having sat on the counter because I was somehow supposed to know that they had gone off script from what I was told was going to happen. In fact, I had ZERO human interaction from order to exit. By the time I made it to the counter, the person who yelled my number was gone. I was never acknowledged in any way. What the hell would my tip have been for? There is a time and a place where a tip is earned, and this is far from it.
Like I said before, the food was quite tasty, but I'll never touch this place again because they didn't seem to even care about my business, or want it. Further, they think a bit too highly of themselves for what they are charging VS what they are serving, and that explains why the place was so empty during noon hour on a weekday. Only reason they're busy at nights is they're on Water street and drunk people aren't as aware of how much they're being ripped...
Read moreMy daughter and I love dining at Shake Shack in Milwaukee's Third Ward, it truly satisfies my burger cravings! My daughter and I frequent this location, and it consistently impresses us with its delicious offerings and inviting atmosphere.
First off, let’s talk about the burgers. I order the classic ShackBurger, and it is everything I hope for and more. The patty is juicy and cooked to perfection, with a delightful balance of flavors from the fresh toppings and special ShackSauce. The potato bun was soft and held everything together without falling apart—a must for any great burger!
My daughter (7 yr old) usually split a double cheeseburger. And let’s not forget about the shakes! Always delicious!! Love the seasonal shakes!
The crinkle-cut fries are another highlight; they are crispy and perfectly seasoned. They pair wonderfully with the ShackSauce for dipping—definitely a must-try for any fry lover!
The service at this Shake Shack is random, we have had really friendly and efficient service half of the time. . It’s NEVER bad, but I do wonder what they get paid because sometimes they seem so “ugh, over it”. We are always glad to get the friendly smile when we walk in. Smiles or not we always tip extra well. Despite the busy lunch/dinner crowd, our orders are always ready in no time, and the staff will answer any questions we have about the menu and they are never ever rude.
The ambiance of the Third Ward location is also a highlight, as it’s a block from our house. It is a great convenient spot to relax and enjoy our meal, whether we choose to dine inside or on the patio.
Overall, Shake Shack in the Third Ward is a fantastic spot for anyone craving a delicious burger and a fun dining experience. With its quality food, random (🤣😂) service, and lively atmosphere, it’s no wonder my daughter and I keep...
Read moreThe visit here was extremely unpleasant. My kids begged me to take them to try out this new burger restaurant. I was actually excited about it and looking forward to my day off for family time. First off, it was packed beyond and I didn’t realize there was very limited seating so we lucked up on a set for 5 when a family got up. Secondly, when I went to order I felt rushed and I hate that because if I’m trying out a new place I have no idea what I’m doing (everything is a la carte by the way). I was so annoyed by the people that kept hanging over our table while we ate that I had to ask a group if they would politely step back a little (I thought it was so inconsiderate how close they were standing near an eating family, you would have thought he was leaning over for a kiss. Finally, when I went up to get my food (not too terrible of a wait) the person that handed me my food barely acknowledged me, not a thank you or anything..just pushed my food towards me and I’m standing there looking dumb like is that all?? My chicken sandwich came out so cold, I was so upset. Our fries with cheese were lukewarm, you could tell the cheese was not fully melted by the stiffness. My baby girl did not enjoy her double cheeseburger so quite a few things went in the trash. The bathroom was so nasty, I was just so irritated and ready to leave. I should have definetely received good service and good food after spending $80.19. I’ll never return. I regret that I didn’t go to Kopps near Bayshore. I could have just gone to a regular sit down restaurant and still gotten better food and service. I’m a working mom of four so I don’t always have the time and money to spend with my kids but I’ll certainly keep my hard earned money out of this establishment. GO TO STACK’D BURGER BAR, THEY WILL NOT...
