Currently serving four brews, Braided River Brewing Company (BRBC) seems like it’s headed to be a long-time Mobile beer tradition. David Nelson, BRBC’s founder and brewmaster, heralds from experience in craft breweries of North Carolina and has now moved his expertise here.

Location is great for large groups — or just for you and a friend to pull up to their beautiful pecan wood bar. Good mix of music and staff is top notch. Historic building which feels like it was made for this brewery use.

Went while on a brewery tour of Mobile. Love the inside. One bartender was working, and she was very nice. My only complaint is pricing. I got a four-pour, five-ounce flight that ended up being $17.50. I got one beer that was 11% ABV, so I can understand an upcharge from that, but I was never told if there was an upcharge. Also tried the King Cake Stout and my wife and I agree it somehow tastes like BBQ. Other beers, however, were delicious....

The beer here is solid. I'm sure as the brewery matures the beer will improve as well. The atmosphere is unique and modern. Very industrial aesthetic and vibe. The bartenders are nice and the place shows a lot of promise. They don't specialize in any beer which means they have a lot of different styles.
