We booked a Birthday reservation a week in advance for a party of 23pp which were told by Ben would be fine. We called several other times prior to verify resse and amount of people and to inform it would be mostly all separate checks singles and couples which were told would be okay. Showed up half hour early and no tables set-up. Tables were thrown together with one side a very long slide in which wasn’t real conducive to guests getting in and out. Was told by employee “And how would you like set-up?” Asked about table of 8 next to it and was told could’t use because it was reserved - nothing noting. The whole experience was worse dining experience ever experienced. The next 3 hours+ was a fiasco. Drinks could not be obtained. Food was all a mess up (some getting food not theirs, some wrong food, some orders sent to the party of 8 next to us, and a few of our guests not even getting their food. They even at one point had another employee come to confirm orders which still all wrong. Had one new employee taking care of 23pp and she was helping other tables. And than checks came out and were a mess too. They were somewhat better but they sure made the checks with full gratuity. I would have expected this for a large party but not when service was not there. The birthday celebration was a blow-out because of lack of planning and care to make the...
Read moreWe visited this place during the home brew festival. The building is lovely. They were busy but not swamped, and had one bartender handling the whole restaurant. I was told that the others had likely gone to the festival. We ordered drinks, got mine in about 20 minutes. They were out of at least three things we wanted on the menu, so we found something that would suffice. Food took a long time and at one point the bartender literally said “I have no idea where your food is.” After an hour we finally got our food. My bf ordered two burger patties with cheese. He got one. I pork “tacos.” On my plate was a huge flour tortilla, approximately one ounce of the blandest pork I’ve ever tasted, no cheese, lots of shredded lettuce , and a half plate of tortilla chips, no salsa, asked for salsa and was told they had none. I asked for the same pico de gallo that was on my “taco,” but never got it. I initially wanted the pork quesadilla and was told they were out, but they brought those exact ingredients presented as a “taco.” The pork had zero seasoning beyond hot sauce, the burger was obviously a frozen patty with no seasoning. I have not had food this bad in so long i can’t remember. Decent bar food isn’t difficult. I can’t fathom who thinks turning out this level of food and service is ok. Needless to say, we won’t be back. There are many other good...
Read moreIronhand Brewing feels more like a family restaurant than a traditional brewery hangout. I originally called several days in advance and asked if it would be a good spot for a bachelorette party. The guy on the phone said yes—but when we showed up, we were seated in the middle of a loud dining room surrounded by kids. It was super awkward and definitely not the vibe we were looking for. I wish he had been upfront about the atmosphere.
The space itself felt impersonal, yet somehow too close—like everyone was on top of each other. The bench seating at our table was so heavy I couldn’t scoot up to eat comfortably, which made for an awkward dining experience.
I ordered the vegan nachos, which were extremely disappointing—sparse toppings, bland flavor, and definitely not worth the price. To top it off, the waitress upsold me on a couple of extra veggies without mentioning there’d be an extra charge. That was a surprise on the bill.
By the end of the night, the vibe had completely shifted. The families cleared out, and it was just a handful of older men lingering around—not exactly the kind of crowd you want to be part of a celebration.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place for events or special outings. Maybe it’s fine if you’re local and bringing kids, but for anything else, especially something like a bachelorette party,...
