First time visiting, August 20th 2021, in the 17 years Ive lived in the Sky Valley...
Very pleasant down home atmosphere in the bar. Seemed like everyone was local and knew one another. Park in the rear of the building for bar entrance. Park on main street if you can find a place, for restaurant entrance. Our server was great! Very friendly and upbeat. Great people person and very attentive to our order. Went way out of her way to hand crush some ice so we could have "blended" Margaritas instead of just margaritas with ice.
We ordered the classic pepperoni pizza. Prices seemed to be very reasonable for just about everything. 15.99 I think it was for a large pepperoni pizza! Order took much longer than we thought it should have however for only being 4:45 pm. Waited a bit more than 40 mins. Pizza finally arrived and I was deeply disappointed. I wanted this place to live up to the local hype that i'd been hearing for so long. But the pizza was WAY over cooked. Very dry and tough. The rear crust was super hard and crunchy. Not crispy, I said crunchy. Impossible to eat. Pizza was not beyond edible, actually it was not too bad, considering. But was no where near the rave reviews ive heard from people over the last 17 years. Also purchased a hot sub to go. Dont remember exactly what it was, "Meat Lovers... Something or other...?" Even though I ate it at 10pm that night it was DELICIOUS!! Ham, bacon, lettuce and tomato... Whatever it was it was VERY good! Much better than the pizza. Would like to go back for another hot...
Read moreJenos was a shot in the dark breakfast stop, yes, at an Italin eatery. I wish I wanted Parmigiana at 10am buuuuut. The helpings are great. The food was fine, presentation was a little meh. My biscuits and gravy came in a sort of soup bowl with a soup amount of gravy. The Gravy was good not amazing, again Italian eatery so I'm not knockin Jenos too hard. My wife ordered the Country Benedict. Two biscuits with a saucer sized sausage patty, covered in omlete style eggs and covered with gravy. Not what she was expecting with the name "benedict" attached. The breakfast seemed fit for any passing loggers in town. Which I loved, not for being a logger, but because the amounts. My kids had their French toast with added strawberries and whip cream. It was DELICIOUS! And the Hot Cocoa was super yummy too. The prices are fair about $10 a plate. To Jenos, sorry the stars are low it is not a knock on your food or establishment, I just didnt get to try your Italian food which I'm sure is good. I like to keep my reviews honest with the public who havent been there in mind. I would eat here again. Also, for the early bird thirst seekers or anyone seeking a different sort of bar setup, theirs a cool old style lounge in the back still that looked...
Read moreWe had drove all the way to Skykomish to get fried chicken and they were out. It was late and Jenos was open. The service was amazing!! Our waitress was so sweet. She gave us some great recommendations for food, and was really quick with our drinks and getting our order in. The atmosphere was great!! Good music, maybe a little loud, but we were in the bar, so expected. The food was absolutely delicious. We started with house salads. No brown lettuce at all, and it was cut into nice, bite-size chunks you could actually get into your mouth. Some places leave it so big!! The mixed meat grinder had the perfect amount of lettuce and tomato. The cheese was gooey and hot. The hoagie took the use was like the cherry on top. Crispy and crunchy on the outside but at the same time super soft on the inside. Ranking it up there as one of the best grinders I've ever had. I'd love to be able to tell you about some of their other food, but we weren't very original and all ordered the same thing 🤣 I will DEFINITELY be returning to Jenos to try out some other menu items, and I suggest you go too!! Gimme a thumbs up if you like my review or find it...
