Antojitos La Poblanita — Restaurant in Monroe

This is my new favorite restaurant in Monroe (or really anywhere). I'm white as hell and I'm used to fast-food Mexican food, so this place really opened my eyes to what I've been missing out on. Everything they make is 10/10 delicious and exceeded my expectations. The mangonadas is AMAZING, their tamales are the best in town, the elote is fantastic, their shaved ice is awesome. I'm going to try everything on the menu lol. So glad I decided to look for tamales one day and found this hidden gem. I can't handle spicy food well but everything was just right. Love this...

Took my family in here and all of us were disappointed with each of our drinks. For example, the picture for the horchata con fresa showed horchata with strawberries on top, but instead, they supposedly blended horchata with some strawberry syrup. It was gross and nowhere near as depicted. Another drink was the mangonata which was supposed to be (from other places and as depicted in their photos) was supposed to be a smoothie like drink. Absolutely amazing place for small dishes and any drink you could imagine revolving around fruit. The flavors here are pure to the fruit and always fresh and ripe. I'm a white boy who speaks very little Español and they welcome me with open arms. I encourage anyone who doesn't experience Mexican culture to stop in here and grab a drink. Haven't had a drink I didn't love and it's great for the kids as well. The family who owns this place are hard workers who take pride in the freshness they deliver. Will be back many more...
