My fiance and I have been here half a dozen times now and honestly can't say enough good things about it. This hidden gem of a bar is a taste of Seattle, tucked inconspicuously into downtown Monroe. The atmosphere and vibe are meticulously crafted and well done. Both cozy and sophisticated, without being pretentious like many Seattle bars of a similar caliber. This place has a warm and inviting feel, that is in no small part due to the co-owner Michael. Who is both a gracious and welcoming host, but also a top-notch bartender. If you enjoy an old fashioned, you'll find no better in the area than here at the Burnt Barrel. This has quickly and easily become a regular spot for us to come and enjoy a drink after work. Just in case you are not a whiskey fan, they do have gateway drinks available to make you a believer. Interesting way to allow non whiskey drinkers a way to connect to the flavor and experiences they can only come to love and respect with this fine liquor choice being added to their lifes experiences. We tried a meat and cheese platter which with the two dipping sauces gave a different flavor experience to the classics meat and cheeses normally offered.
