I recently had the misfortune of dining at this so-called "Mexican restaurant," and I can confidently say it was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. Let's start with the carne asada—calling it carne asada is an insult to Mexican cuisine. It was essentially a bland, unseasoned steak that had no business being served at a restaurant, let alone one claiming to specialize in Mexican food. It lacked any flavor, and it was clear that no effort was made to marinate or properly season the meat.
The tacos were an even bigger disaster. They were absolutely drenched in onions, so much so that it was hard to taste anything else. The red sauce tasted like they had just thrown some tomatoes into a blender without any seasoning or effort to make it remotely palatable. As for the green sauce, it was nothing more than a lazy attempt at dumping store-bought green enchilada sauce into a container and passing it off as something authentic. It was disgusting.
The enchiladas? Completely underwhelming and forgettable. I’ve had better frozen meals. The whole meal felt like an insult to anyone who appreciates good Mexican food. Avoid this place at all costs unless you enjoy tasteless, poorly prepared dishes served with a side of utter disappointment.
On the positive side, the rice and beans...
Read moreMy family and I were going to eat here and then when we drove by it happened to me closed off due to a food festival. Over the next hour we tried to figure out what to eat to no avail. We decided to order delivery to our hotel and I told my sister to choose a place to eat. Well she ended up choosing Papa Chano's and I'm so happy she did!! The food here is so delicious! I ordered a tilapia fish taco. It's nice slices of tilapia lightly fried with a spicy sauce, very delicious! I also ordered the carne asada fries, no words. This dish is delish! There's like a sheet of cheese melted on the bottom of the fries. That's some munchies creativity. My sis got the enchiladas and she said they were good as hail. 5 stars I wish I lived here but I'm...
Read moreThe carne asada within the regular burrito is flavorless. The carnitas regular burrito was equally boring. I’m most disappointed by the additional cost guacamole: it is a liquidity mess that isn’t worth getting, and I’m not sure if it even has avocado in it. This was a to-go order and I normally wouldn’t bother writing a review, but the “guac” really was disappointing and I want other patrons to avoid the mistake I did. I gave this place two stars because at least the food was fast and ready to go when I arrived. If you want quality Mexican food, this place is not it. Chipotle would have been a better option, and it’s just...
