My name is Brandon Segovia, proud grandson of longtime owner Larry Segovia and great-grandson of founders Al & Rose Segovia. Reviving this historic bar has been both an honor and a privilege to preserve the character, stories, and traditions that shaped generations before me. After a year devoted to breathing new life into the establishment, the tavern reopened on October 9th, 2025 refreshed yet deeply rooted in its original spirit, carrying forward our family's legacy with pride. Visited their May, 31st, after coming from a so called english bar(nothing british about it). My friend and i came to segovias tavern and just enjoyed the vibes and music. Loved the punk,rock,metal music in the background. Drinks were great. Local tattoo artist that works across the street was their and was very welcoming to us non locals. Bar tender A1. It was just a very chill place and whenever i have a chance to come back to monterey i will definitely visit segovias. A plus was the beetlejuice movie playing in the background. 5 Star...

The worst Service in the world probably! This guy (the Bartender) is so freaking cheap, he would ask you for tip on every damn drink and if you refuse to pay he would make a big scene and refuse to serve you! I mean I’m not sure if this guy is doing some charity by serving the customers. The owner of this place needs to reconsider this old man...
