This is an update to the review below: We tried this Moe's again on 9/13/25 and cannot believe this location is still in business. The only word I can think of to describe this place is 'gross'. Nothing has changed, and it has only gotten worse. The preparation area appeared cluttered and reminded me a Third World 'doo-doo kitchen'. Some of the containers of condiments that are selected and used in the various menu entrees were stacked on top of one another leaving a gaping hole in the chilling table, and hiding the various condiments underneath. The salsa bar was out of order so the employee had to go in the back and ladle out one or two limited salsa selections into small plastic cups. Meanwhile, water was leaking out of the salsa bar and onto the floor in a puddle. There was a totally inadequate fan attempting to dry the floor. The coffee maker appears to have been inoperable for a long time. Carafes we're missing and just the machine remained on the table. The mens and ladies room were out of order and were blocked off by tables to the path to them with a crudely written sign warning patrons to stay clear of the flooded floor. Trash was poking out of the container and was spilling onto the floor. The place is a disaster and as such, we've written it off for good. I have no complaints with the food. It's really good, and you get plenty of it. My steak burrito was excellent, stuffed to almost breaking with meat and my selection of beans, rice, cheese and other goodies. I have a problem with the price. My burrito cost $13.08. That's a lot of money in my opinion. The bill for my wife and me with one drink came to almost $29.00. I remember when I could go to Moe's for $18.00 and that included two sodas. The price is spiraling out of control, and it's unwarranted in my opinion. The other problem I have with the East Gate location is the condition of the interior. Simply put, it's a mess. It not filthy, not crud, but it's a mess. Trash is piling out of the container. Tables haven't been cleaned, and the salsa bar looks like it hasn't been touched all day. BUT.... the workers are standing around talking and laughing. The night we went, they were out of forks. How can you be out of the primary utensil...!!! This isn't right! So goodbye, Moe's. We wont be back. It was fun while it lasted, but the reduced menu, the reduced salsa bar, the $3.00 sodas, the $13.00 buritto, and the general messiness of the restaurant area have forced us to move on. It was nice...
Read moreOrder places on 5:26 on 12/23/24. Says it will Be ready by 5:41. Finally at 6:03 I asked for a refund.
If any general manager or corporate has access to the cameras to this location, you should really take a look at how my visit went. Two employees behind the counter. I waited as they took care of the line of walk-ins that came in. Finally I was the only person left and spoke to the employee at the counter and confirmed he had my online order. This was around 5:40. Then for the next 15 or so minutes I was the only person in there. One employee is watching videos on his phone while the other who was prepping food early on and appeared to be working, now has his phone up to his ear walking back and forth having a personal conversation. Two employees, the only two employees present, both on their phones. At one point, neither was even at the counter as they walked away.
Finally 5:57 came and a new walk in came in and ordered his food. While he was paying, I asked for a refund. One employee had the courage to say to me, “your food takes time to make.” I’ve been waiting 40 minutes in a fast food joint that works as an assembly line. You can’t really expect me to buy your b.s excuse?
Then a general manager who was on her break walked out. Very sweet lady but clearly has zero power to actually run the store. While she is trying to figure out how to process my return, the gentleman who had just ordered had to walk up to the counter and ask them to turn down the blaring music throughout the restaurant because he couldn’t even enjoy his food.
If you own this franchise or are part of corporate, you really need to take a deeper look into your employees and customer service. If you have access to the cameras, it will baffle you that this location can even function...
Read moreOverpriced burritos when much better options, both local (Ma’s and Pa’s Tex-Mex) and chain (Chipotle), are available nearby. Good in a pinch if you are willing to put up with the unwelcoming and unfriendly staff. Overall agree with most of the comments - this used to be a decent location for the chain but the staff/management have really brought this store down.
No welcome when first entered the door - not sure if they stopped doing this or it’s just this particular location. No explanation why certain items like rice are only available with burrito vs bread bowl - they used to be interchangeable but guess there’s only one option for each now and not mixable. Multiple line members were either unfriendly or rude, definitely felt like you were just part of an assembly line and no interaction. Joined the Moe’s rewards so I could qualify for the “Moe’s Monday” deal. Apparently this is not applicable on your first visit, cashier said I didn’t have it loaded - so the $6.49 Moe’s Monday deal was back to full price at 12.99 or something like that. Manager was running the register but didn’t feel like correcting any of the issues and no recognition as I felt important as a customer.
Chipotle is across the street in the Moorestown Mall, which in my opinion is much better chain food for similar price.
Ma’s and Pa’s is a few miles away but much better quality from a local business and would highly...
