While I will frequent Dave and Buster's in the future, I won't be having any of the "dining experience" again because this experience was pretty bad. For the amount of money I spent in there I should've received better everything honestly. I watched your MGMT walk around and talk to a few guests so I know they were out there but how you chose who to help, idk because I looked bewildered and frustrated and no one seemed to even know we existed... Not only you but also your server. Seriously for the amount of money I spent on tasteless pizza you'd have thought we could've at least gotten some silverware and maybe a few napkins. For real though, some human interaction would've been nice too! I watched a waitress at her tables and she was so great, I was actually a little sad that we weren't in her section! Have you ever heard the term "dine and dash"? I seriously considered it and I can tell you with complete sincerity that we could've dashed, played a round of games and driven back to NC in the time it took the waiter to even bother himself to come back to our table. It was pretty frustrating. Listen, I get it, some people aren't meant to be waiters, I know I'm not, but my sister is a PRO so I'm fully aware of how an experience should be and this guy wasn't it. When he did FINALLY come back to the table, where I was now STANDING and trying to get anyone's attention he shoved the payment kiosk in my face where I felt I HAD to leave a tip. But he didn't deserve a tip, nor should I have paid that much money for such lousy service and tasteless pizza. DO BETTER SERIOUSLY.
GAMING - for the most part was phenomenal. I got the app which never worked with the games so I bought 2 cards and was pleasantly surprised that I could transfer coins IN THE APP between the 2 physical cards and the virtual one so luckily I didn't lose out. But getting help was very hard most of the time but the lady at the service desk where you purchase cards was EXTREMELY HELPFUL and honestly probably the ONLY reason we bothered to even try.
We will go back for the gaming, probably not for the food and now that we know the lay of the land, except for a friendly smile up front, we can frequent without having to bother ANY ONE WHO ACTUALLY is employed there since they obviously don't want to be there!
Oh and one more plus was Dave the game mechanic who came to help me since my phone app wasn't working who was friendly...
Read moreTook my son here for his birthday on his actual birthday and it was awful. I went here thinking we would get the best of both worlds with having games to play and a nice dinner. Everything I ordered was either undercooked l, stale or wrong. Luckily my son was able to get cheese pizza I guess that was hard to mess up. The cheese was not on the outer two sticks so actually that was sent back too. We had high expectations for the food and were really disappointed. The shrimp I ordered in the Alfredo pasta was undercooked so I sent it back. Then they mixed it with Cajun seasoning in the pasta so I sent it back. And asked for add tomatoes which they sliced grape tomatoes and threw on top raw. Also there was green onions which I asked to omit. I asked for some chips since we were starving and the dip was good but I wasn’t a huge fan of the bubble chips so I ordered tortilla chips thinking that would be hard to mess up. They were stale. On top of that I read online a game card for 20$ would get about 16 games so since it’s my sons birthday I ordered him a 30$ card thinking it’ll keep him having fun for a while. Well, 5 minutes into playing on the floor and it was empty with 4 credits left which wouldn’t get us another game. So bummed out I took him to the prizes thinking it would make up for it and maybe he’ll get some treats. All he got was one starburst lollipop. I am blown away at how bad this experience was. No singing happy birthday cake or anything. First and last. Food was horrible, and they wouldn’t let us sit at the tables in the dining area only in the bar. I asked several times and she said she didn’t want us to because she would have to get a server to take us over there even though it was completely open besides one party with a reservation. Do not come here for a special occasion. I wouldn’t even come back here for a regular fun night. They tried to tell me the black dots was seasoning. No it’s raw. On top of that the pasta wasn’t even hot. I do feel like they could have done something to make up for it especially being my sons birthday but nothing was offered. I did speak with managers who were on duty, as well as the manager at the host spot....
Read moreWalked in wanting to sit at the restaurant because of their big screens for hockey game night at 10:30 pm. It was not busy and only appeared about 40% full however, over 70% of the tables had dirty dishes on them with no one visibly bussing any of them at that time. Anyway, we were ignored at the host stand for a few minutes before anyone came and acknowledged us even though there was a group of servers about 20 ft. away from us gossiping in a booth and rolling silverware. It wasn’t until another server came running over from a different side of the restaurant that we were finally sat. After we were seated, we were disregarded and ignored for the entirety of our time sitting there, waiting for a server to come by or just someone to acknowledge us for over 30 minutes. There were many servers making an appearance around our booth since it was an end booth and right next to a server station. There was also a table who had finished eating directly next to us and was in the process of checking out with their server the whole time we were waiting. Their specific server had to go back and forth to their table multiple times (I’m looking at you, server with the blue hair!) and eyeballed us multiple times, but never came over to say hello, asked if we had been helped, or suggested getting our server for us. In fact, during our entire hour and a half visit, we had no interaction with anyone on the floor. Despite all the servers running around around us, or the group of what seemed to be managers yapping with each other loudly right in front of our table. We eventually ordered food through the bar and closed out with them because it was in the the middle of game time but we will never be back. This place is either severely understaffed or the staff is so selfishly only out for themselves that there is no teamwork or flow amongst the staff. What a mess! I’ve been to many other Dave and Busters restaurants and have gotten much better service (hence the return visit) so please know that this review is very personal against this specific establishment. Do better, Dave...
