The Ceiling of North American Seafood Buffet Hot Pot and BBQ - Shu Jiu Xiang - South Carolina Walking into Nine Spices Hot Pot & BBQ (蜀九香), it feels like entering a culinary adventure park. This newly opened restaurant is located at 1509 N Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577, and it has already set our taste buds dancing. Although we arrived early for lunch, the enthusiastic staff didn't mind and immediately seated us, showing their respect and hospitality towards guests. The clean and bright environment makes you feel at home, and the entire dining experience from start to finish was smooth, truly worth recommending.
The heart of hot pot is, of course, the broth! The options here are quite diverse, ranging from classic clear broths, nourishing medicinal broths, to the spicy hot pot favored by those who love intense flavors. Each broth's flavor is authentic, catering to various tastes. We headed straight to the hot pot area where the aroma of various broths wafted towards us, full of anticipation.
The self-service food area is definitely a highlight! Not only is it varied, but restocking is also very timely. From fresh seafood (shrimp, shellfish to salmon sashimi), to a wide variety of vegetables, tofu, mushrooms, to all sorts of high-quality meats, everything is fresh. No matter what you like to eat, you can find a suitable choice here. Even better, the self-service area is kept very clean and tidy, making the entire experience reassuring.
The sauce and condiment area is like a wizard's laboratory, where each seasoning makes you eager to try, imagining how they can elevate your hot pot experience. They provide various sauces like peanut sauce, sha cha sauce, minced garlic, sesame oil, chili, allowing you to mix according to your taste. I particularly enjoyed their special sauce recipe, which really added points to the whole hot pot meal.
Beverages and desserts were surprisingly included in the price. Drinks range from sodas, juices to teas, while the dessert area offers ice cream, cakes, and other small treats. Having some ice cream to cleanse the palate after hot pot is a perfect ending.
In terms of pricing, it's very reasonable: $35 for adults for hot pot alone, and $40 for the combo with barbecue. There's also a special price for children, which is very friendly. Moreover, the service is excellent, with staff always attentive to your needs, both caring and efficient. Parking is convenient, so you don't have to worry about finding a spot, which is another big plus. In summary, although this restaurant has only been open for a short time, it has already demonstrated its dedication and capability. From the environment to the cuisine to the service, every detail leaves you satisfied. We left almost "rolling out" of there, incredibly full. If you love hot pot and barbecue, you must try Nine Spices Hot Pot & BBQ (蜀九香)! It's not just a haven for food lovers but an experience to enjoy. If you come to Myrtle Beach, do not miss this place; it will leave you with a heart full of...

Read morePro: large variety of food choices and fresh Cons: 1. The pot for hotpot is small and soup vaporized very fast. I had to break the crab legs down for them to fit in the pot. The Tom Yum base soup didn’t have any curry flavor. It was recommended by the waiter who said it was curry flavored. I wish I had chosen a different one. Over priced. Adult:$35.99/person for either hotpot or BBQ,$39.99 for hotpot and BBQ together/ person. Kids under seven $12.99/person. Above 7 is $16.99? I don’t remember clearly because Our daughter is 7 and I only had a quick glimpse at the other price.Tax is 11%. My husband , me and our daughter together paid $97 + tax +tips =$110 for a dinner. The food was good but not great. I don’t think we would come back because of the high prices. A customer who went two months ago said the price was $25 for an adult and $12.99 for kids, but it turned out to be $11 more for one person. Either the restaurant had raised their prices within this short time period or that customer provided inaccurate information. There’s no website or menu with accurate prices to be found before we went. Hopefully my review can help future interested customers...
