Salt and lime was such a disappointment. It was Sad and Lame. I wanted this to be a good place so bad. A lot of people told me it was good, and I’m not that picky………I hand out 5 star reviews like a boss……..but this missed the mark. Let’s start with the good. The drinks were perfection. Bartender, you’re good! Nothing wrong with you at all my drinks were wonderful. Our waitress was good too, I kind of felt sorry for her because our food took like a hour to come out and I could tell she was slightly concerned. OK let’s get to THE BAD! Do NOT get the guacamole unless you want the tiniest 9$ bowl you’ve ever seen. It’s so small that I can’t believe they actually serve that. It’s a joke. (Now I regret not taking a picture of it). Our food really did take 1 hour to come out AND we had to PLASTIC SILVERWARE. We spent 155 for just 2 people and had to eat with plastic silverware. Our food was just okay, it wasn’t worth the price. It’s a beautiful place but they really need to step up their game. Owners: your restaurant has a great atmosphere and bar but the food and service is lack luster. We probably won’t be back unless forced to. It was wonderful to get to see our friends so it wasn’t a total loss good company made for a better time.

This was our 1st visit to Salt & Lime. We had such a great experience. Crystal the bartender will give you a tour of the vast menu and is an expert at making the fabulous drinks match your taste bud preference. The fancy drinks are not too sweet either. Several patrons asked the bartenders if the drinks were sweet and since we had several different ones, we can confirm they are not a cup of diabetes. The drinks are amazing and creative. Crystal is very personable and funny too. The food takes you on a magical culinary adventure. Everything is made fresh in house. The food challenges the palate and senses to explore flavor and helps your try new combinations. Over all 10 out of 10. Most importantly, as visiting life long beach residents we really appreciate the staff enforcing the Horry County ordinance of no glass permitted on or near public beaches and accesses. The staff does a wonderful job of switching your extremely tasty beverage from glass to a sturdy plastic cup. It's the perfect solution.

First off I want to thank our server Alison for being amazing. She made some great recommendations, checked on us often to see if we needed anything, was personable and brought our food & drinks out quickly. The facility was very clean and definitely gave a true beach feel. We sat outside on the patio so we could hear the ocean. Everything we ordered for lunch was very flavorful. My husband actually wanted to go back for dinner the same day. We ordered the elote, wings (mango habenero sauce on the side), Camarones Al Mojo De Ajo, kiss bang bang drink, caliente cucumber drink, and a shot of don julio. My husband said the shot definitely was a double for the price of 1. You should give this place a try. If you like football they show the games at the bar.

I've tried this place twice. Both times large parties. The 1st time I think it wasn't long after they opened. It took forever, at least an hour, to be served, however, because we were able to utilize the outdoor area and have cocktails, we let it go. Also, the owner or manager came over and profusely apologized and if I remember correctly, even took something off the bill. Also, some guests were really happy with the food. Noticed those that didn't order regular "American" food were the happiest. So gave it another shot. Again a large party. This time the following:

  1. Ordered chocolate chip pancakes and regular pancakes arrived. Called it to the waitresses attention and she apologized and said she'd have it fixed. The fix was dumping some chocolate chips on top of the pancakes and bringing it back out
  2. Ordered French Toast. It arrived but it was Cinnamon Raisin French Toast. Called it to the waitresses attention and the response was oh we changed it. I assume she meant the French Toast on the menu is now Cinnamon Raisin???? and I'm not sure how a customer would know this??? Responded don't eat raisins and got an eye roll. Told her we'd take pancakes or waffle as replacement, which was replaced with pancakes that were tasty but looked at receipt later and realized charged for the higher priced French Toast.
  3. Several entrees were cold. All that ordered breakfast potatoes said they were cold and not freshly made. Like they had been made earlier
  4. People who ordered "latin" dishes last time, and loved them said they were not nearly as good this time.
  5. Waitress was pretty much MIA and the restaurant was not busy at all. Other than taking the order and bringing the food didn't see her and didn't check on us until we were about done. Wanted coffee/ drink refills but didn't get offered until we were basically done and asking for something, that was wrong to be fixed like getting salsa when no salsa with breakfast burrito was brought to the table was clearly an annoyance for her .
  6. Asked for cocktail menu. Apparently only Mimosas before 11AM
  7. 20% tip automatically added. I get it. Happens with large parties. Our was 7 but infuriating when the service isn't great or even good (5 adults/2 kids) = $27.40
  8. 3% credit card fee (also applies to tip since it was a large party and tip automatically applied) = $4.93
  9. I thought the tax rate is 11.5%. I was charged over 15%. May be wrong and need to check with the tax office about that one. So, total bill for food/drinks was $137. Automatic tip $27.40. Tax $26.11
  10. The atmosphere is great. So, $137 food bill actually ended up costing $196.04....

We had the absolute pleasure of dining at Salt & Lime—and wow, what an unforgettable experience!

From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by an incredibly friendly team. We had the opportunity to meet Henry, the general manager, whose passion for hospitality shines through in every detail, and David, the head chef, who is clearly a culinary genius.

The atmosphere is upscale yet comfortable, with a sleek, modern design that feels both vibrant and inviting. And the view? Breathtaking. Their oceanfront setting is one of the best in Myrtle Beach—perfect for a romantic evening or a memorable night out with friends.

Now, let’s talk about the food: absolutely phenomenal. Salt & Lime offers a creative fusion of Mexican and Central American flavors, beautifully inspired by local cuisine. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and perfectly balanced—fresh, inventive, and absolutely delicious. You can tell there’s real thought and heart behind every item on the menu.

To top it off, the prices were surprisingly reasonable given the high quality of the food, service, and setting. This is the kind of place you can’t stop thinking about—and we already can’t wait to go back.

If you’re in Myrtle Beach, Salt & Lime is an absolute must. Go hungry and prepare...
