🥩✨ All the steak vibes right in the heart of Nashville! Here’s what it’s like dining at Morton’s Steakhouse with my family 👀🔥 #MortonsSteakhouse #NashvilleEats #FoodieTok #SteakLovers #DateNightGoals #FineDining

After reading the reviews from various sources. I will now share my own perspective on how you can enhance your overall experience at Morton’s. After today’s excellent experience, I have Morton’s in my lunch rotation on days they offer afternoon service. I love their very traditional steakhouse feel that’s formal, cool, & dark. I will never eat a steak in a well lit room. Neither should you & I have a theory as to why their not busy all the time. Morton’s is located away from Broadway, Demonbreun, John Lewis Parkway & The Gulch. Theirs nothing wrong with the food or service here in my opinion. Example, my Caesar Salad from Morton’s is an instant classic textbook case on how to make a perfect Caesar Salad that’s not too salty, runny, bitter or acidic. Sadly, I wasn’t expecting to receive the damn near perfectly made Caesar Salad dressing with the freshest extra large croutons I’ve ever had anywhere. I never took a pic! Somebody was having a great day! I ordered the boned in ribeye medium rare. I requested no extra toppings or sauces. First, no matter your experience & let me be clear. No steak at Morton’s on their worst day, will ever taste worst that beef from your local retailer. I was honored to have them show me why I was glad to have come to dine with them for lunch on Thursday. My steak was cooked to perfection. It was well seasoned not overly salty. My steak was not “burnt” but nicely charred to give it that steakhouse magic the big houses do all to well. To many steakhouse consumers have been “Ruth’s Chrised” into believing that’s theirs only one way to prepare a great steak. I will give Morton’s on Church this complement. As I ate my steak, I was able to enjoy every editable bite down to bone. I had more steak to despite the marbling that made that steak so flavorful & juicy. My steak was not over seasoned, to fatty or too charred. This is me talking trying to spread some good wisdom. When you go out to dine. Especially at high end restaurants, be on high end first class behavior even if you have to fake it. Good manners & being classy goes a long way to ensure your are treated with great care. Don’t treat your server & the team taking care of you like the hired help you can’t make eye contact with. Be first class personified at all times. Man, read them inspirational Instagram post on living your best life. I spoke to the server & manager while eating as it never bothers me to share with them my experience in real time. Let me tell you right now, if they play this service right. I will say this as a test subject, that’s a perfect lunch spot for an afternoon steak. In New York, I do afternoon Steak & honestly. My experience in Nashville was no different than in Manhattan.

One block away from our hotel was Morton’s Steakhouse. I have been to Morton’s many times, but not in at least 10 years, and my son had never been, so we found a reservation and decided to “steak it up”. The atmosphere is just as I remembered, dark with an upscale, elegant feel. I had a classic chopped salad as a first course. This is a true chopped salad, with the lettuce cut up and tossed with the other vegetables and dressing PRIOR to arriving at the table. This is how I serve salads at home, and frankly, all salads should be served like this. The dressing gets disbursed evenly across all the contents and the food items are chopped by a super sharp kitchen knife instead of trying to fight with a standard knife in a bowl or delicate plate on the dining table. Great salad. They also served a bread boule. Boule’s are fairly common, but Morton’s got it right. The interior was as light and airy as a cloud, and the outside was a crisp crust that was stiff enough it was easy to cut through. The whipped butter finished it perfectly. My son tried their 16 oz cajun ribeye. The cajun ribeye is marinated for 24 hours prior to cooking. Ribeyes are full flavor steaks to start with, but put some cajun spicing in the mix, and the flavor jumps off the plate straight into your taste buds. Now, this wasn't a "hot" cajun, so don't think it was like eating some habanero wings that light you up. It has a strong cajun flavor which complimented the meat very well, but on the "hot" scale, I would call it mild. Definitely worth trying, and made for an excellent steak with an unusual variation on flavor. I had their 7oz wagyu filet mignon. If you haven't tried wagyu, I highly recommend it. That concept of "melt in your mouth" steak comes closest to reality with wagyu beef (including kobe). It is very expensive, but when you indulge on special occasions, you will likely agree its worth it.

Before considering a sub-par chain restaurant, with terrible customer customer service......consider these choices which are a thousand times better , unique and original. If I relate how bad our experience was, you would not believe it and think it was fictional. Thought I was having a nightmare......woke up and realized it was just eating at Morton's Nashville. Not a disgruntled customer, I spend more having my car detailed than what it costs to eat at Morton's. It's just that the food was not good. The service was awful. No one cared. The steaks came from Golden Coral. And the creamed corn came from the Green Giant. Terrible food at a high price. Here are other reviews. Steven Gall Local Guide · 43 reviews · 981 photos 11 months ago- Service and food was absolutely terrible. Management was even worse. Morton's Chicago was always fantastic, unfortunately I live here now. Here is were you should be going and I have eaten at all of these 9 times or more. Here are better choices that provide finer quality meats, seafood, service and memories. ETCH Higher quality food. Better service. Not a chain restaurant. Better steaks and more choices with fresher side dishes. Private owned with a world class chef. JEFF RUBY'S A better steak. Much better atmosphere with clientele under 100 years old. Higher standards. Better service. Morton's is a drive through Checkers compared to Jeff Ruby's. JIMMY KELLY'S A Nashville institution since 1934. The best service of any restaurant in America. Waiters that have been there 20 + years. A historic landmark like no other. Going to Morton's is like going to the bathroom, you can do it anywhere - but - there is only 1 Jimmy Kelly's. Better steak and better value. BOB'S STEAK AND CHOP HOUSE Nashville in the Omni Hotel. Higher quality food. Much more flavorful. Fresher ingredients. More attentive staff. If you want to impress someone, Bobs Steak and Chop, if you want to piss someone off and lose their 11 million dollar book of business, take them to Morton's. KAYNE PRIME This is the ultimate steak experience. If a steak was a liquid this would be a Dom Perignon 1998 P2 Plentitude VS. the steak at Morton's which would come in close to bath water, actually that is not fair to the bath water. Kayne Prime is alive with an upbeat, fun energetic talkative crowd more interested in getting the best than telling their co workers were they ate over the weekend. Truly if you miss going to Kayne Prime and want to punish yourself and are not into Self-immolation go to Morton's. BOURBON STEAK - JW MARRIOTT Bourbon Steak Nashville. Well, first you get the best view of the city skyline from all glass enclosed top floor restaurant. Then you can dine on steaks that are a higher grade and better prepared than Morton's. Also, if you look closely out the glass bubble that sticks out from the side of the JW Marriott building, glance towards Church Street , look for the YMCA and you will see all the people leaving Morton's looking for their Uber's to go eat somewhere else. ELLINGTONS Ellington's Mid Way Bar and Grill Fresher seafood than Morton's. which is closer to what Moby Dick regurgitates. Better steak with better staff in a much more casual setting. Lively, fun with a management staff that visits the table every few minutes. You have a better chance of seeing the Loch Ness Monster than being visited by a manager...

Terrible experience. Tonight, May 14, 2023, the waitress Stephanie was the cause of the worst experience in a fine dining restaurant. Our reservation was at 6PM but we arrived at 5:40PM and were seated around 5:45PM. Stephanie was friendly at first but it took her about 25 minutes to bring the drinks and bread. When it came time to order the entrees, I was clearly specific that I didn't like the butterfly cut filet mignon. Order a 12oz filet mignon with bluechese butter on top. When the food arrived, she brought it in the form of a butterfly, just as I had told her that I did not want it. The filet was well done, so they told me it would take time to do another one. The manager came to the table and excused himself and said that I could take the mignon (butterfly) and they would make me another anyway. However, it took him 1hr to return to the table to say that he didn't know what happened. Apparently, they gave my mignon to someone else by mistake and they would make me another one and I wouldn't have to pay for the main courses, just for the drinks and starters. The waitress, Stephanie, was absent for most of the time. We asked her for the ketshup and she spent around 15min without bringing it, so we had to ask another employee to bring it and then she came with the ketshup. While I was waiting for the mignon, she brought out the dessert menu and my wife told her we would order when my mignon was brought and I ate it. Not 5min passed and she brought back the dessert menu indicating that there was no hurry. In the end, after 2 hours and 40 minutes, I ended up paying $121 dollars and I didn't leave a tip. But the most disappointing thing was that when my wife waited inside the restaurant while I was asking for my car from the valet parking, Stephanie showed the receipt to the host at the front desk and told her that it was a shame not to have left her a tip and then left. Then she moved to the bar and continued with the comments. Her actions only denigrate this restaurant chain because, since we lived in Nashville, we have visited it 9 times and we have never witnessed such bad service from an uneducated waitress. The good thing about it is that Morton's staff can see the cameras, interview the two front desk ladies and bar staff to corroborate this information. In the same way, watch the cameras to see how absent she was at her service to us. Stephanie does not have the slightest idea of what customer service is and her actions are not in accordance with Morton's standards and ethics. I just hope that the situation that occurred today is investigated and disciplinary action is taken because my family and I will never return to Morton's. Thank you Stephanie for making this mother's day a nightmare....
