I have been anxiously awaiting the opening of this restaurant and it did not disappoint. I had a couple of appetizers and drinks on Friday night. I am strictly a vodka girl but I went out on a limb and tried the Swiss Salut made with gin. This drink was incredible and the presentation was like none other! You have to try it for yourself and have your camera ready! I had the prime rib empanadas and the crab rangoon bites. Both were wonderful but I must say, the rangoon bites were my favorite! I also had the cranberry orange bread pudding with marscapone ice cream. I loved the warm bread pudding and the cold ice cream mixing together with the citrusy syrup. So good and definitely enough for two. This experience was one I felt needed repeating, so I went back on Saturday night as well. I enjoyed the Swiss salute cocktail so much from the previous evening that I had three on this evening. I had the Truffle Caesar salad followed by the tuna tartare. I loved the dressing on the salad and the tartare had an Asian flare and was super fresh. Scallops were my main course and this dish was absolute perfection! The scallops were fresh, seared perfectly and resting on a bed of horseradish risotto. The sauce was a beautiful combination of flavors and was delightfully delicious! I will absolutely order these again. Chef Eric came over to chat with me and the other tables about items on the menu. I thought this interaction was a very nice touch. I highly recommend this restaurant. The food and drinks were fantastic, the ambiance is great and everyone was extremely friendly. I can't wait for the warmer months to enjoy their outdoor patio. Twenty First will be on my list of go to restaurants every time I...
Read moreThis place was a huge disappointment. Service was great and atmosphere was good but the food was not. The hotdog platter and Cacio y Pepe were both not very good at all.
Specifically for the price. I ordered the “glizzy” which is described as a tower of hotdogs with five different flavor profiles. In actuality I was given five different very average hotdogs with very minimal toppings.
A hot dog with just Ketchup and Mustard A hotdog with pico de gallo on top One with Some sort of yellow sauce and jalapeño One with pickled onions and relish of some kind A hotdog dog with pickles and tomatoes
There was no difference in the buns, the dogs themselves, and the toppings were very minimal. The pico de gallo hotdog was literally just a Costco hotdog with pico de gallo on top.
The truffle fries that came with the tower were great, but I paid $45 for this tower. I was looking forward to the hotdogs.
My wife’s cacio y Pepe was cooked too hot leading the sauce to get separated and have a slightly gritty texture. It was also vastly under seasoned. I took a few bites and was not impressed.
Overall our meal was $200 for two entrees and 4 drinks. Again the service was great but the food was a huge letdown.
I have a feeling this place primarily caters to tourists who are willing to pay a premium without realizing there are better restaurants within walking distance for half the price. (Slice of Italy for Pasta, Daddy’s Dogs...
Read moreGiving 5 stars because the food was so good and the chef was very kind! I’d recommend the duck- however, the duck itself was somewhat of a small portion compared to duck entrees I’ve had elsewhere, but it was overall very good with great sides: sweet potatoes and cauliflower. The kale caesar was quite good as well. My friend enjoyed the deviled eggs and my dad loved the salmon. The service was not the best (still good though) only because we really wanted to order after deciding but our waiter disappeared for 30 minutes once he took our drink orders and eventually my friend had to go find someone to grab our waiter. However, once our waiter realized he wasn’t being as attentive in the beginning, he was very attentive and helpful. The runner or server’s assistant (i think??) seemed very confused on how to deliver food to a table. The courses were spaced out in somewhat awkward timing but, each person’s order did arrive together or within 1 minute of each other. These small issues are understandable since the restaurant just opened. The chef came to our table a couple times to introduce himself and then to confirm we liked our courses. He was very personable and considerate, so we appreciated that. Everyone we interacted with was very nice. We’d definitely return and I encourage others to give this new...
