Normally I wouldn’t order seafood, specifically grilled Salmon at a place like this, however I was really craving it and I reminded myself to have lower expectations than what I’m use to. To start I ordered the loaded tater tots. I had asked for no special sauce and to have BBQ sauce instead. Unfortunately it did not come correctly and because it was later and took long, I just took it as is and ate it however left quite abit because of the special sauce. Presentation overall was dull and uninviting. The sautéed vegetables consisted of onion, broccoli and, a cucumber. All of them had a sour taste, almost like it took the flavour from the cucumber. The potatoes were undercooked and crystallized inside. The best thing on the plate was the star of the show, the grilled salmon. This was fantastic and way above what I expected from a place like this, it was the saving grace to the meal and this review. Cooked to perfection, flaky, very little fish taste, and dare I say close to a 4-star seafood restaurant. I would highly recommend that this restaurant rethink their sautéed vegetable offering that pairs with this plate. If they approve upon that, this would be a very good dish all the way around. In addition, my friends meals came out and mine was close to 10 minutes behind, this included the appetizer I ordered; they were halfway done theirs before I got anything. So I would also highly recommend this restaurant to assume their timing for meals when there is more than 1 dinner at the table.

The food here is pretty decent. I could imagine during a sporting event it'd be fun to eat and drink here as there's a lot of seating and televisions with a really large projector screen. On this trip for us, a week before the super bowl, every screen had pickleball. Wings were decent, pretzel was fine, Caesar salad was basic. We used a MyVegas rewards for $25 off $50 so that really helps my opinion of this place. Update: Came here again Memorial Day weekend and unfortunately we were unable to use any Myvegas rewards. I tried the cheeseburger this time and it was much better than the wings I had last time. I didn't mention in my previous review but it held true this time as well; the service and wait time was rough. It wasn't due to our servers efforts, it seemed like she was one of two waitresses working the whole place. This was Sunday before memorial Day and either they had a ton of call outs or weren't staffed appropriately for the crowd. I'll also mention the menu is very small. In addition to the burger I got we shared the chicken nachos and they were pretty good.

My dining companion ordered a 3-piece fish and chips. All 3 pieces were overcooked, grey and chewy. Told the waiter who insisted in ordering 2 more pieces. When those came out, one of them was also inedible, and one was (mostly, except for a bit on one end) fine. So, of 5 pieces, only 1 was good to eat! We did not receive any reduction on the bill, however. I had a Caesar salad with shrimp added to it. The shrimp were warm and appropriately cooked, if a bit bland, as they weren't really seasoned, just maybe a bit of pepper. The salad was okay, if not particularly large or memorable. Surprisingly for a sports bar called "TAP," there are just 4 draft beers on the menu: Bud Light, Coors Light, Elysian Space Dust, and Kona Big Wave. Our waiter was cheerful and attentive. There are not many restaurant options at the Excalibur. I'd give TAP another chance, but would definitely try some different items next time. The restaurant itself is great for watching sports, with lots of screens, showing various games. Lots of seating, accommodating different sizes of groups.

Came here on Sunday night (June 23rd) and didn't have a great experience. First off I will disclose that I follow a YouTuber that had a really rude encounter at the location across the street @ MGM a few months ago so I'm admitting that I was prepared for the worst going in. Just acknowledging that I may have been short on patience.

We had a $25 off comp (orders over $50) and showed up around 8:55pm. Dining room was at most 25% full and the hostess says there is a 25min wait. I thought that was odd but this was our last night in Las Vegas, we were hungry after seeing KA and we didn't want the comp to go to waste. Went and gambled a bit and got the text that our table was ready @ 9:25pm. When we came back to the hostess stand she was speaking to a customer that was looking at a menu and she told him that because of the time they were doing take-out orders only. When she sat us at our table I looked right at her and asked if we were ok given her conversation with the other customer and she said 'don't worry - you're good - take your time'. I've worked in the restaurant industry and let's just say that I'm very sensitive about irritating the people that handle my food - let's leave it at that.

The booth she gave us had soda spilled all over the seat. So before sitting down we just moved to the next booth and there was soda all over those seats too. There was a waitress just standing around nearby and we asked if she could wipe down the seat for us. Let's just say she wasn't very enthusiastic about wiping down the seat and she walked over with a small white napkin that was nowhere near big enough to soak up the amount of liquid that was on the seats. Frustrated, we just said that we'll go to another table as there were open tables near the bar. Safe to say that this was her preference anyways.

Our waitress then shows up and immediately says "you've got 2 minutes to order". We explained what had happened and what we were told and she repeated "2 minutes". So now I'm really agitated - they've had 3 strikes as far as I'm concerned and we haven't even ordered yet. So I order the cheeseburger because it's literally the first thing I saw on the menu - dead center at the top. Wifey orders salmon with seasonal vegetables which apparently means potatoes....I didn't know potatoes were in season. Anyways I flagged down the hostess and explained what had happened and she was very nice/apologetic and she said she would send the manager over which I said was not necessary. I just wanted to vent over the fact that what had happened was exactly what I didn't want to happen.....if you show up to a mostly empty restaurant for a hamburger over an hour before closing you should be able to get in and out without being an inconvenience to anyone. The manager ended up coming over and she was very cordial and apologetic as well.

The food was very good - burger was juicy and the fries were good. Wife said the salmon was cooked right and the potatoes were - potatoes. The waitress even warmed up a little bit. Honestly, I get the sense that maybe we caught the wait staff at the end of what was probably a long day.

TL/DR - the price (with comp) was fantastic, the food was really good, good atmosphere, the hostess and manager were really super nice. Maybe it's possible that you've got a morale issue with the servers?? I will be back to give it one more try but my spidey senses...

Rudest customer service I’ve ever experienced. Not coming from the servers but the manager himself. Friends ordered chicken strips and drinks - drinks took 30 min, but waiter apologized for the delay. At least there was accountability from her part and was sincere. We can understand a bartender change. However- chicken strips were cold and we let the waitress know we were ready to go and that the strips were cold and left untouched. She offered to get a new plate or speak with the manager. We told her it wasn’t necessary and she said that if we spoke to the manager we can remove it from the check since we didn’t eat them. Manager comes black confused as to why we were complaining and didn’t offer anything. We asked if he can remove it from the check and he said uhhhh okay and walked away. Comes back after he “investigated” that we didn’t tell the waitress sooner that the food was cold. We told them the strips were cold from the inside, not cooked all the way. And he kept going back and forth with us. We told him how long it took for drinks so how would we be able to tell them about the food sooner? At the end we offered to pay for the strips but for at least the restaurant to take some accountability about their food. He continued to go back and forth. One of our friends replied “great customer service” and he comes to tell us you all can leave thinking we cussed at him and had the waiter bring us our check WITH THE CHICKEN STRIPS INCLUDED. Manager name is JAMES. Horrible service. Horrible attitude. Ruined our evening...
