Walking the French Quarter I saw a sign saying that Manning’s has the Best Burger in Town! Lissen, you can’t say that and not think I won’t stop through to give you a test. Heading over to Manning’s is such a beautiful experience. The classic structures and organic New Orleans aesthetic provides for a great moment of artistic appreciation.
Arriving at Manning's, there were two parties ahead of me. A party of Two and a party of Four. We are we’re waiting at the stand as the host was confirming what tables were open. It seemed to be taking quite a while so another young lady came over to assist. As I was alone she offered me a table or the bar. Decisions, Decisions. LoL! As it seemed they may have been short staffed, I decided to sit at the bar.
In walks Seymone! Haaaaaaaaaaay Seymone. LoL! Seymone was the bartender who greeted me as I walked up. She was all smiles and presented a ver pleasant introduction. Upon taking a seat, she provided me with a menu and took my order for a sweet tea.
Though Manning’s is a Sports Bar style Restaurant, the ambiance is super cozy and has almost a neighborhood vibe to it even though it’s in the heart of Downtown.
After taking a few moments to view the menu, I decided on the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger (well done) and Substituted the Voodoo Chips for Fries (well done).
As I watched the game that was playing and got lost looking out the window people watching, it was a matter of moments before my food was out. The presentation of the meal was picture perfect. The burger was stacked with layers of flattened beef patties to present a very thick pub style burger. The bacon was thick and meaty. It was crispy around the edges and tender in the middle. The perfection of the bacon provided an added layer of crunch that sat well with the fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and toasty bun.
I took the first bite and OhMyGoshhhhhhh!!!!! I was in mouth-pleasing happinessssssss.
Well flavored. Quality meat. Well done as ordered without being dry. Overall, TRULY a great burger.
The fries were fries, however, all I cared about was the burger. 😂🥳🥳😂
I truly enjoyed my meal at Manning’s. That you Seymone for the Service and Chef for the Meal.

Read moreWorst experience ever. I was excited to visit this place based on the reviews however, I feel like I was in a totally different restaurant than what other people were talking about. I never saw any leather recliners in this establishment. I arrived around 6 PM on a recent Sunday night the place was not busy. However, I waited 15 minutes for a hostess to appear. A young girl appears at the hostess stand. I asked for a table for two she tells me to wait a few minutes. She needs to check on something she disappears comes back about five minutes later and tells me that the kitchen is very backed up and she’s not allowed to send anybody right now. It will be about 30 minute wait but I’m welcome to go sit at the bar, well I choose to just wait in the waiting area again. She disappears and doesn’t come back. About 20 minutes later someone else appears at the hostess desk to inform us that they will be seeing people in another 20 minutes or so they’re waiting for the kitchen to slow down. Hello there’s nobody in the restaurant what is the problem here then he proceeds to tell us that there’s no shrimp and there’s no catfish, not a problem that’s not what I was going to order anyway. I finally am shown to my seats, I sit down to find out the chair is broken. I swapped the chairs out and sit in a different one that one is broken as well - not off to a good start. I am now waiting 20 minutes for a waitress or waiter to come take my drink and food order no one is appearing, no one is anywhere to be found in this restaurant. Suddenly the hostess comes back and she surprised that we’re still sitting waiting for someone to serve us. She calls over a server and they get into a tiff over where I’m sitting really that’s ridiculous. I now have a waitress who wants to take my order I ask for a chicken wrap sandwich no sooner do I get the words out of my mouth and she tells me. Oh sorry we have no wraps as well we have no lettuce. I’m done I excuse myself and we leave. What a waste of my time! Shame on whoever is running this establishment they need to make some...
Read moreOK, wow.... so where to start? I regrettably used my $100 celebration dinner from Harrah's here and ordered a ton of food to my room to go. The people managing this restaurant and those working in the kitchen should be embarrassed by the product they're putting out. This used to be a nice sports bar with really good burgers and bar food. I would rather eat gas station sushi than the horrendous things they served me here.
I'll begin with the "queso". I had nachos at the movie theater last night that were twice as good as this. I guarantee you that they have large, industrial, ballpark cans of "nacho cheese" they're pouring and calling it "three-cheese queso". It's insulting that they are serving this.
Secondly, the blackened fish tacos are the reason I'm angry and decided to expose this restaurant since I'm currently in the bathroom typing this with what I'm certain is food poisoning. I took two big bites out of the first taco and noticed an overwhelming scent of fish that had been laid out and left on a counter overnight. It was also cold, clearly undercooked, and definitely not blackened in any way. I smelled the other two tacos and they both smelled spoiled. I threw these out immediately as you can confirm by housekeeping staff who picked it up.
The ribs were disgusting, the fried shrimp appetizer had 6 tiny fried shrimp that had obviously been under a warmer for a long time, the Buffalo chicken wraps were worse than the wraps I can get in the cooler of a Raceway gas station, and the best part of the meal was the side of slaw and bags of Zapps potato chips.
Not only did I waste my celebration dinner, I'm in the room sick as a dog with 75% of the food thrown out as inedible. You guys should seriously be ashamed of yourselves and when I called to complain, it conveniently won't connect you with anyone at the restaurant and they aren't open again until Thursday. (It's...
