Tried the Peacock Room during out stay at the Fontenot. With a reservation we were seated promptly however service was incredibly slow. It was a good 25 minutes (thankfully there was live music) before we were even offered to order a drink. That didn't go so well as it evolved into four round-trips for our server as every bottle of wine we tried to order seemed to be out... We gave up and asked for a glass of whatever he knew was open for sure. It was ok, but not good. Once we placed food orders, the initial food came out quickly. The ceasar salad was wanting but the blue crab pimento was a worthwhile experience. Unfortunately, we struggled to get another drink - I think the server was just overwhelmed. We chose to leave before as our entree had still not arrived either. After not being able to get our servers attention we approached the host and who I assume was the manger. Neither of whom offered to try and improve our experience or even offer a simple apology. What we had hoped would be a relaxing night at our hotel with good music (Robin Barnes was fantastic both in sound and audience interaction by the way), some wine and a delish meal left us very disappointed and the only stain on our otherwise great experience at...

I would give the atmosphere a 20/10 if I could! The moody lighting and decor will strike you the moment you set foot in the Peacock room. Went to celebrate a friend’s bachelorette party, and the ambiance did NOT disappoint. There was a live band that was phenomenal and really added to the entire vibe. We had a group of 9 girls (take note: checks for large parties can be split no more than 4 equal ways. We fully anticipated this and our server was up front about not only this but also pointed out where gratuity was included when our bill arrived) We ordered shareables including a snack board and hummus; both exceeded expectations and are worth the try, particularly the pimento cheese. Dinner came out plated beautifully and at the same time; not always an easy accomplishment for such a large group. Our service was above and beyond. If you’re looking to celebrate a special occasion or just enjoy a nice dinner out, highly recommend the Peacock room. We were all highly impressed and enjoyed not only our meal but the...

My daughter and I were here for dinner the other night and we absolutely enjoyed ourselves. We initially came for cocktails only and had plans to eat at another restaurant. However, Matthew convinced us to try their smash burger and fries. Let me tell you...best decision! Those other dinner plans were out the window with no regrets. I am not exaggerating when I say their smash burger is one of the best I have EVER tasted. I was doing my greedy girl dance. And even the truffle fries were fantastic. It was the perfect compliment to the burger. Not to mention I am sucker for an aioli sauce. Matthew also made excellent recommendations on the cocktails, which we also enjoyed. So needless to say service at the Peacock Room was excellent. And I would be remiss if I did not mention how swanky and chic the restaurant & bar was. I would highly recommend.

Recently ate brunch here for an anniversary meal. Heather, the hostess, was wonderful, very welcoming and checked on us several times during the meal. She even took our photo for us. Ellie, our server, was just as wonderful - attentive, helpful but not overbearing. The atmosphere is really fun, beautiful decor and so much to look at. All the food we had was really, really good. The pain Perdu was just right - not too sweet and the filling was really creamy. I had quinoa and it was the best I’ve ever had. Had wonderful flavor. My husband had the BLT which was really flavorful. We ended with the bread pudding and the chocolate torte desserts. Both were great for different reasons. Overall it was the best dining experience we had in New Orleans. I highly recommend it. Be sure to make reservations. I look forward to going back.
