When I arrived I was immediately impressed by the calm atmosphere. The decor and seating style remind me of some of the european cafes I have visited. I love the water and glasses waiting on the tables even in though it's a counter-service spot. Staff was amazing. As I waited for my friends, someone was constantly cleaning the dining room and making sure that my table's water bottle was full. The only knock I can make is that the chairs are low stools which could be uncomfortable for some diners, but it didn't bother me too much.

Food was very good, although not everything is for every palette. As a long-term vegan, I am pretty adventurous and found almost everything to be delightful - except for the Seaweed Tartare, that was not a winner for me.

What we ate: As a table we shared a summer roll (I loved it), a maki (generally enjoyed by all) and a Mezze bowl (not worth the price tag) in which some of the spreads were nice, but some were what i'll call "Advanced Vegan" food and didn't land well with my friends and went largely uneaten. Skip the Mezze and just order the thing or two that caught your eye. The most carnivorous in our group had the Chili bowl, which he loved. I had the Magic Miso Bowl which was good but just a touch too salty for me My bestie made the best choice of the evening and went with the Tibetan Mama bowl, which was delicious.

I will DEFINITELY be coming here again. Yummy, and even though we were SO SO SO full having tried all those dishes, we all agreed that we didn't feel yucky/heavy etc. The completely fresh, minimally processed ingredients is...

Le Botaniste is a true gem! I recently had the pleasure of dining there and I was blown away by the quality of the food. The tomato soup was rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of tanginess to make it taste amazing. The spicy chili bowl was also a hit, with its bold flavors and perfect level of spiciness that made it a delight to eat.

In addition to the fantastic food, the dining area at the back was spotless and provided a comfortable atmosphere for enjoying my meal. The space was spacious, which allowed for social distancing and a relaxed atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure that I was well taken care of throughout my visit.

Overall, I would highly recommend Le Botaniste to anyone looking for delicious, high-quality food in a clean and comfortable environment. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite on the go or settling in for a leisurely meal, this restaurant is sure to satisfy all of your cravings. Don't miss out on the opportunity to experience this amazing eatery...

My wife & I were treated poorly. The staff preferred to cater to a couple of "beefy" young men who came in after us. Ageist perhaps?

While the food was excellent, my serving was microscopic. I couldn't get anyone to care enough to address my complaint.

On leaving we discovered that we were there for Happy Hour, but no one bothered to tell us we were each entitled to a free glass of wine which might have taken the edge off the experience.

A very poor experience. As much as we've enjoyed eating at their other locations in the past, we cannot recommend La Botaniste SoHo.

UPDATE: They responded to my complaint by giving us 200 Loyalty points. No consideration to the 2 free wine glasses we missed out on.

Okay, maybe that would suffice but it turns out that the 200 loyalty points wasn’t enough to cover the cost of the same bowl ordered today. Oh, and the loyalty points? Even though linked to my CC no credit was given.

This is not the way to treat a customer. 1 star reduced...

La Botaniste is a local chain serving plant-based fare in the most gorgeous of settings. I met a friend here for dinner and we had a great time. The aesthetics of this shop really lets you relax compared to the hustle and bustle of the outside world. Upon entering, you either order and grab your food, or find a table to settle down first. My dinner was the Tibetan Curry which was pretty good but was made much better when you added some baked tofu into the mix. I felt the depth of flavor could've been deeper but was still happy with having a great hearty bowl in the heart of Manhattan be so readily available. They didn't have their full dessert options available so I'll have to try that the next time I'm back for another round.

So this was my first time coming to this establishment. I decided on the Vegetable Tajine bowl because I figured it would be the most filling since I've had it in Morocco as well as various Moroccan establishments in the city. Well my assumption on it being filling at Le Botaniste was a mistake! The base was quinoa (which didn't even fill the bottom of the take out bowl) and a small potato. They added a couple of garnishing veggies and vóla a full meal meant for a small child . I understand portioning and all of that but to spend $15 (including tax) on a meal, that btw still left me hungry is super annoying. I had to take pics so that you could witness the shenanigans yourself...incidentally, the taste was ok...
