Birch Coffee — Restaurant in New York

I really enjoy birch for a few reasons, one the atmosphere to the little shop is cute. It can be tough to sit sometimes because there is limited seating. There is a bar looking out that seats about 4 people and a table that seats 6 and most of the time you’ll find a few people there on their laptops.

The longest line I’ve ever seen here is 4 people but most of the time it will be only one person before you.

The staff is really friendly and warm. They always joke with you and have hilarious riddles that are fun to read. They take credit card which is super helpful for me who hates carrying cash.

They have really great coffee options including cold brew and other hot coffee. They also have a small area with food and other drinks and doughnuts. They do sell shirts and coffee presses.

I enjoy coming here and the only reason I gave it a 4 is the prices.

Pro tip: if you bring in a reusable cup you get some money off (for me it’s always been around 75 cents to a dollar) always...

I was on a random NY trip, and this location of Birch coffee was a couple blocks down from my place of stay. I am an avid coffee drinker-- particularly lattes. I was initially recommended a different cafe as the best cafe in town, but decided to give Birch coffee a try, and boy was I thankful! My friend and I ended up coming back three more times because we were in love ! It's such a small location but they are super quick with service, not to mention the friendliness despite the busy mornings. Not that it's much important for me for a quick grab-and-go, but the music choices were amazing as well, and I also found out they make almond milk and oak...

I definitely wish I would’ve just gone to a commercial coffee place instead. There was so much aggression and hostility for my morning coffee. I asked to have a latte in a larger cup, because I wanted an extra shot and the cashier insisted it couldn’t be done. Cool no problem, I didn’t get the shot. Moving on to this tiny shop, the barista proceeded to aggressively ask me to move from In front of the machine. However, allowed the next customer behind me to stand exactly where I was, without issue. There wasn’t anywhere for me to move to, so it was very uncomfortable in a room...
