I really did love it here. Blue bottle is awesome coffee. Having said that, I don't think it's as good as it was 15+ years ago in San Francisco when I first discovered their small shop. Those coffee pilgrimages (on multiple visits to SF), are so memorable that I will probably always stop off at a Blue bottle coffee at a pure loyalty. At one point, blue bottle qualified as the world's best coffee in my mind (I've traveled across the US, in Europe, and in Asia). While it is not as obvious to me as this was in the past, blue bottle is still pretty damn awesome.
I'm tasting quality alone, Blue bottle deserves five stars even if it's not what it once was. But on top of that, I want to add that at this location the atmosphere was sublime. The front of the shop is like a cafe and not particularly special, but the seating area is so peaceful and well tailored that I could literally spend hours sitting there. I wish I had asked the name of my barista, because she was excellent. Not only skilled, but fun and funny...
Read moreBe cautious — I had a deeply disappointing and offensive experience at this location. I requested a refund for the remaining balance under $10 on my Blue Bottle gift card — a standard policy clearly printed on the back of the card and available on their website. However, the staff member (a thin man with short hair wearing a black T-shirt) treated me as if I were making something up or behaving irrationally. He questioned whether I had done this at other stores, even asking me to name them, and insisted on proof before proceeding.
He only began processing the refund after I showed him the policy myself. Throughout the entire interaction, his tone was dismissive and his attitude condescending. I felt deeply uncomfortable and disrespected. As a minority, I can’t help but question whether racial bias may have played a role in how I was treated.
This was by far my worst experience at any Blue Bottle store, and I sincerely hope no one else is made to feel...
Read moreBarısta was very rude...i wanna refund coffee which is have something on the tab...he was try to show me how he make it for approve that is just coffee beans fat...they do wrong way to make iced coffee..i told him i will not gonna drink it like that .then he throw my coffee a way and not gived me new one..it was bad and rude(his actions) experience..never ever again...employees should to keep customers happy..shouldn't be aggresive and rude action..and also i order hot chocolate..they give me cold one..i ask him to warm it up...he again give it to me same ...hot mean hot...this store has them Own way to make drinks...i am not gonna complain...but asian faced and long hair barista was show up very rude action.....finally i paid 10usd for nothing...owner or shop manager have to talk with this rude barista about how to treat...
