It all began with a reel—a beautifully shot clip one of my friends sent earlier in the week, showcasing this hidden gem of a café nestled on Elizabeth Street. The soft lighting, the gentle clink of glasses, the classic palette—it was enough to make us pencil it in for our post-Jummah catch-up.
Caffe Paradiso lives up to its name. From the moment we arrived, there was something unmistakably elegant about the space. Tall windows, muted tones, and a subtle blend of Italian charm and downtown edge made for an atmosphere that felt both refined and quietly indulgent. There’s no flashiness here—just tasteful restraint, and it works beautifully.
We went in curious and left absolutely charmed.
The white chocolate shakerato was an unexpected standout—light, velvety, with just the right balance of sweet and bold. The salted brown butter & oat latte followed suit, offering a layered warmth with its nutty, slightly savory undertones. The paradise cream top was playful and luxurious, while the espresso con panna top, adorned with dark chocolate shavings, felt like a classic reimagined. Bitter, creamy, and just indulgent enough to feel like a small celebration in a cup.
To pair with the drinks, we split a pain au chocolat and a chocolate chip cookie—both well done, though it was the pastry that stood out more. Flaky and soft in all the right places, it carried that perfect, slightly bitter bite of dark chocolate that plays so well with coffee.
There’s something about finding a café that knows how to carry elegance without trying too hard—where the textures, flavors, and atmosphere come together naturally. Caffe Paradiso is that kind of place. A quiet sort of luxury. The kind of café you send a reel about—and then go, fall in love with, and send to...
Read moreI visited this coffee shop in Soho yesterday with my husband, excited to try the butter salted latte. When we arrived, we waited in line and were greeted by a very kind and polite staff member who took our order—no issues there.
However, the experience took a turn when we reached the bar where the coffee was being made. The woman preparing the drinks was extremely rude and unprofessional. Her attitude felt unwelcoming and, frankly, discriminatory. While I was holding my order receipt, she abruptly took the other receipt directly from my husband's hand without a word. After handing me my coffee, she looked at my husband suspiciously and asked, “Did you order one too?”—as if we were trying to get away with an extra drink. It was humiliating and completely uncalled for.
To be clear, we had paid for both drinks and were just there to enjoy a coffee like any other customer. The latte itself was delicious, and I truly appreciate the polite gentleman who took our order. But that one barista’s behavior left a very bad impression and made me regret going there.
I hope the management addresses this, as no one should be made to feel uncomfortable or judged over a...
Read moreI visited on Saturday, November 8th, and wanted to try the Salted Brown Butter and Oat Latte. I was on line outside and I ordered one, but was mistakenly charged for two with the amount of $15.24. I noticed the error right away, and the girl who took my order said, “I thought you said two.” I replied, “ No, I said one salted…”. So she assumed, then said she would fix it, but instead went on to take another customer’s order without asking me if I wanted a receipt. I knew she didn’t do anything cause you can’t fix an error by taking another person’s order right away. I asked again, and she assured me it was taken care of, but it wasn’t because I was still fully charged and ended up having to dispute it with my credit card company. The Salted brown butter was also basic. Was not worth going back for. I would not go for...
