Went here for a friends birthday and it was nothing short of a literal disaster. First they took my deposit and didn’t register my reservation on their calendar. I did receive the confirmation text, I made sure to call and inquire with them about specific details, but when the date came and my entire party was ready to enter the room… I was told no reservation. I had to search in my bank account to prove I paid a deposit (which was taken from me two months prior)because the text was not enough or even the phone call in my log history that showed a 25-30 minute conversation with staff. I got the craziest attitudes from everyone I spoke to because “i didn’t pay a deposit and theres nothing (they) can do” even AFTER i proved i paid my deposit. They later apologized when I spoke to a manager, they realized it was an issue on their end and not mine. But it didnt even end there!! In the waiting bar area, where we waited over an hour for a room, they turned on some music and threw some weird powder in the fan in front of everyone to make it foggy in the bar (what is this powder….) and the waiting room/bar area was nothing short of awkward as the staff stared at us while we waited for rooms to clear. When making my booking, I made sure to disclose that 2 guests under 21 (months shy of 21) would be attending and to see of this was allowed with proper restrictions (wrist bands/X on hands/etc). They said yes this was fine, just no alcohol in the karaoke room and each person would have to make their own tab and drink it outside. Which is fine!! When we were greeted upon entering a room they let us know guests under 21 were unable to drink OR eat in the room (including water) but at the same time couldn’t step out of the room because the bar was outside. They do not get to eat? What? What does eating have to do with anything? Why can’t the food be inside of the room? Then, they let us know the kitchen they get their food from (an offsite delivery service) was running with immense delays and we would have to wait over 2 hours for our food to arrive. As if it couldn’t have been ANY worse, when i booked i asked for details about fees, food ordering services, minimum or maximum drinks allowed in the room, etc and they assured me the only fee would be the PER person PER hour of karaoke fee. After an hour of being in the room, they let us know we HAD to order at least $100 of food per hour to keep the room since it was the biggest one… I had a group of 17 people. Where else would we go? In the end, we ended up paying about 600/700 more than anticipated and it was the most expensive, stressful, and rude time ever. They did not deserve our money and I will never return to them. The place looks nice, the bartenders are friendly, but the bathrooms?? Disgusting. The management staff?? Terrible. I had a horrible time planning this event and I would never recommend this to anyone. Its become a funny story to the friend group but to our wallets? A tragic waste of our hard...
Read moreIf there was a zero star button I would like to press it. This place was completely unprofessional unorganized and out right racist towards my party. I purchased a liquor package that was 35$ per person and rented the VVIP room for two hours. To start the elevator was broken and shaking. The host had no idea when and where my reservation was when arrived. When i booked the VVIP party room for my boyfriends surprise party I explained over the phone that I would not be there initially with my group of friends because I would be arriving after so my boyfriend could be greeted with a surprise. They told me that this would be okay. I told them that my friend would have my credit card information. they also told me that this would be fine and i would PAY AFTER THE PARTY WAS OVER. Well to my dismay when my party arrived on time they were told that they would have to pay in full before they could enter the party room and drink and they would be charged for a min of 20 people for the 35$ per person open bar. There was only 15 people there. A min charge was not discussed. My friend who i left in charge after 30 min of arguing finally was allowed to enter the party and was told i would pay upon arrival like previously agreed upon. The whole time my party was there they were harassed about they payment of the party although it was agreed that i would pay when i got there. One waiter even told my guest "pay or leave". A bartender told me verbatim "i don't you are going to pay" to my face. Some of the group members who arrived shortly after the main group where never directed to the party room and were left at the lobby waiting by the host. My assumption is when the host saw a group of young african americans the assumption was that we weren't going to pay. They were constantly chasing us down for money after we ordered food as if they thought we weren't going to pay. We are young black college professionals. Ive also been a bartender for the past 3 years and worked in the restaurant industry for 5. I know how employees act when they think someone is skipping the bill. The energy of the staff was frantic and nervous they were completely intimidated by us. All i wanted was for my boyfriend and friends to have a good time. The liquor that was finally served was in unmarked bottles. the karaoke was in Korean and when the waiter was asked how to change the language he never returned. When the bill fin ally arrived my 100$ deposit was not included and they charged me for 20 people with automatic tax and gratuity. After almost 45 mins or arguing and the bill being reprinted several times i was finally charged 70$ more than what we agreed on. I was so exhausted and outright embarrassed that i just took the Loss so i could just leave. We asked to speak to management multiple time and were told that there was no management although they were talking to someone in Korean over the head set negotiating the price. I would not recommend this place to a corn...
Read moreEverything about my visit here was horrible. Here's why: It took 15 mins for a employee to come take my group of friends order, and any food or drink we said, the server had no idea what the menu items were called and we had to point to each thing on the menu as he took the notes on his iPhone We were interested in the live karaoke, and after 40 mins waiting for mics or the song list, an employee came over to ask if we were participating in karaoke and if so we had to pay for each song as well as another fee (which they didn't state on the phone when we called the day before). Since we were the ONLY people sitting for the live karaoke we inquired about getting private which they said they couldn't do even though we were willing to pay. A generous group of 4 invited us into their private -payed and booked- room, because 7 of their guests were unable to come, and my group just happened to be 7. Shortly after an employee came to room very angry that more people were in the room EVEN THOUGH the reservation was payed for 11 people. He went on to say that the only way we could stay is if we spent a certain amount of money in the room. This wasn't a problem because my group had already ordered food and drinks - FYI It's after an hour later and we still hadn't gotten any of the food or drinks we ordered -. When our drinks and food finally arrived, a female employee brought them but didn't announce which cocktails were which. we were also missing 3 drinks. One of which they ran out of an ingredient and when we asked about them the female employee told us that it wasn't ordered; which was weird because the previous male employee took our order in his IPHONE NOTES. The session was ending and a employee came into say that we had 40 mins left and we would have to pay $100-$200 extra for another hour. We weren't interested in staying so we told them we would just stay the duration of the 40 mins. The session ended, and when my group received the bill we were charged for the 3 drinks we NEVER got; which the employees had a hard time understanding for whatever reason. After a 30 mins trying to get the bill adjusted we finally were able to leave. BONUS: There are 2 tiny elevators up to the karaoke place. The signs on the doors say one holds 4 people and the other holds 8. My group of 7 waited for the 8 person elevator, and before the door could close the elevator started jerking up and down. It opened up back to the Karaoke bar, where the security told us the elevators "are fine and do this when too many people are on". ALL 7 of us got out -leaving the elevator attendant- and AGAIN the elevator began jerking up and down. After splitting our group to fit in the smaller elevator; we were informed by others who took the 8 person elevator that it got stuck for 5 mins and kept going to the top floor which was the cherry on top of the...
