Drive Rite Academy — Local services in New York

My friend recommended Drive Rite Academy to me after I had a not so stellar experience at another driving school. I took the 5 hour course at the Manhattan location. The instructor, Dave, was both laid back and informative. He was very knowledgeable about the information and he made the time go by quickly.

After taking the 5 hour course, I was very impressed with the service, so I opted for the Concierge Rush Package, and added 2 driving lessons. My road test was scheduled two weeks after the 5 hour course!

Once I found out my road test date and location, I decided it was go time. I dedicated that day to passing my road test. I scheduled two hours of practice for the day of my road, which really solidified my driving skills. I highly recommend doing this. I passed my road test with no points taken off.

Before I began taking lessons with driverite this past January, I was highly apprehensive and anxious about driving on the open road. My instructors-Jim and Sujata, were both patient and understanding, and installed in me a sense of confidence and determination to get me to where I am today. I can vouch for both Jim and Sujata and their knowledgeable expertise about the skills of the fundamentals of driving in which they impart on all of their students. They worked with me as I balanced a busy weekly schedule between work and driving and prepared me for the road test. I just passed my road test a week ago and could not have done it without Drive Rite! The whole process was great from start to finish. I took my 5 hour class at the new Manhattan office, which was super convenient to get to after work. I took my lessons at the Dean Street office and all the instructors I had were great- Jose, Emmanuel, and Dave. Everyone I spoke to over the phone and in person were also super helpful with scheduling. I upgraded to the rush appointment and I highly recommend doing that. I got my road test in 2 weeks instead of waiting for almost two months. I have dealt with other driving schools in the past, and they were nowhere near as professional and friendly as Drive Rite.
