Cha Cha Matcha is a matcha lover’s dream and one of the most delightful cafés I’ve had the pleasure of visiting. From the moment you step inside, the tropical-inspired decor, bright pink and green hues, and laid-back yet vibrant vibe instantly put you in a good mood.

I ordered their hot matcha, and it was absolutely divine. The matcha was rich, earthy, and perfectly smooth, with just the right amount of creaminess. You can taste the quality in every sip, and it’s clear they take pride in using top-notch ingredients. It was the perfect pick-me-up—comforting and energizing all at once.

Their menu is full of creative matcha-based drinks and treats, from matcha lemonades to matcha soft serve, so there’s something for everyone, whether you’re a matcha enthusiast or new to it.

The ambiance at Cha Cha Matcha is what truly sets it apart. The playful decor, neon signs, and cozy seating make it a perfect spot to relax, catch up with friends, or even get some work done. It’s bright, fun, and filled with positive energy that makes you want to stay awhile.

The service is just as wonderful as the vibes. The staff is friendly, helpful, and clearly passionate about what they do, always ready to make recommendations or chat about their offerings.

I have been coming to cha cha since 2018 and I have no plans of giving it up. It’s the highlight of my day on many days, and I live a great life! My go-to is a hot oat matcha latte. At one point I even started making them at home, but with all the same ingredients and tools, they are not the same. I’ve tried all the other matcha lattes in my area (wherever I happen to be) and they don’t have what it takes. Cha cha is #1. Part of the appeal is the sheer cuteness of the brand. I love the natural wood anchoring the spring green and fresh pink. I love the sparkle Formica that some shops have and the green tiles that crawl up walls And over The counters of other shops. I love the memorabilia. Neon Palm trees 🌴 and other tropicalia, vintage surfer albums that dare me to dream the creamy warmth of summer waves with every sip, even and especially in January. This insistence on an island mindset overrides whatever I am thinking when I walk in. A micro vacation in every...

I always loved cha cha but post pandemic they’ve been a disaster. This location has been so mismanaged and inconsistent that I just wasn’t wasting my money with them anymore. I saw they were open a few days ago and Decided to take a walk and give them a try again after a few months of being eh about them. To no shock, on a Sunday at 12pm, the shop is completely closed up , with no sign as to why.

There’s also a grade pending sign on their back entrance, if you check out my attached photo. Cheeky of them to place it where most customers won’t see it. I’m glad they were closed or I never would have noticed. For the city to grant a Grade pending for a beverage shop , must mean that there’s some serious health and cleanliness issues happening in there. Going back to just Avoiding this place.

On the bright side, I discovered today that gasoline alley two shops down makes great matcha drinks!
