Ok. So I’m not even a chocolate person. I eat if from time to time, but I’m more of a tiramisu and coffee cake kinda human usually. (You will see this if you read my other reviews lol) But, Confectionary brings out a different side of me. Why? Because these chocolates are delicate, unique, special, beautiful, hand-crafted, organic, fair trade, vegan, and just W O W the first time I had Lagusta’s chocolates was in 2013 in New Paltz and my mind (& tastebuds) were floored. The turtle bar, a dainty perfectly balanced caramel, the hot chocolate bomb (idk the name of this but you put it in a giant mug and pour hot soy milk (organic, unsweetened, plain) over it, the chocolate ball melts and inside is a glorious surprise. Just buy it. Any how, this place is adorable with funky fun bright coloured lettering for all signage and always the most incredibly kind and helpful staff to boot. And, generally at least 3-5 precious furry friends will walk by for you to gawk at out the window while you consume heaven. Basically if you like any kind of sugary delight, go to confectionary, get a chocolate or seven and maybe a macaron, if you’re feeling flush pay it forward on the mitzvah wall and then take a chocolate or cookie to share the love with a friend. Whatever you do, buy a turtle bar. (Unless you’re...

Really cozy shop in East Village stocking macarons and chocolates. I was really there for the chocolates but had to pick up some macarons because the flavors sounded so enticing. The macarons are exquisite! Very flavorful, well-made and beautiful. They are worth a special visit. For the chocolates, note that they seem to only stock mostly chocolate coated caramels and hard chocolates (no ganaches) in the display. My favorite is the Vandana Shiva with it's subtle delicate Cinnamon flavor and just a hint of heat from the chili. The barks are huge (as big as my face) and def worth the price. The chocolate used is pretty intense in taste (imo) and given their exciting flavor combinations and liberal use of salt (can afford to reduce) you are less likely to overeat them so they will last a while and are actually really affordable for the kind of quality you get. I love how the shelves are so well-stocked and the lady at the shop was so friendly, helpful and inviting. I can't wait to...

This is a beautiful (and ALL VEGAN) sweet shop you don’t want to miss! 🍦🍰🧁 Super tiny but packed with so many sweet goodies to pick from in the most cutest aesthetic! We came for what they are famous for… the vegan macrons. Oh. My. Gosh. Are they insane!!!! I seriously think they make the world’s best vegan macrons here- no joke.

The vegan macrons are a really nice size, tons of flavors to pick from & are mind blowing tasty! Let me say this again…. The perfect vegan macrons are found here. Vegan macrons are rare & hard to come by anyway but Confectionery knocks it out of the park with super moist, chewy, but also doughy and packed with creamy filling. We got the coconut, early grey, pistachio & matcha- each one was SO good. The flavors were exactly what was described as.

They also sell chocolates & other baked goods here but the macrons spoke to our sweet loving vegan hearts. Seriously, if you love macarons (vegan or not) come here!!! These macarons here will...
