I’d actually like to give this place no stars as I was just finished doing food shopping for an elderly woman and bumped into her son on 3rd avenue who invited me to grab a bite to eat and have a few drinks. We attempted to go into the wicked monk because of their booth seating as I had my five-month-old son with me and that is the most comfortable way to sit his car seat when dining in a restaurant. The waitress seated us and my baby was sleeping at the time and slept throughout the entire stay. After three or four drinks I went to order another as the gentleman I was with did so as well I told the waitress to only give him the gingerale without the Jameson because I didn’t want him consuming anymore alcohol. The waitress brought over the gingerale for him and my Jameson and gingerale. When she returned the gentleman said can I please get a double shot put into this gingerale ,she took the gingerale away shrugged her shoulders at me and came back with the same gingerale and two shots of jamo.I ended up taking one and adding it to my drink and he added one to his drink . Shortly after when I was ready to order my food I asked the waitress for another cocktail and she said I have to cut you off you are intoxicated. This is not a place for a baby his age,I looked up at her and said excuse me that’s fine bring me the check but can we at least eat and no I am not intoxicated and if you think he is then why did you give him 2 more shots and shrug your shoulders 10 minutes ago? She told me that a child his age is not supposed to be out in that type of place.Leaving me with the questionson (why did they seat us to begin with?) They should’ve told us that before they ran us up $125 bill for just a couple of drinks. I feel completely humiliated and don’t see what the problem is the gentleman I was with was not acting bad in anyway way shape or form. If they’re so worried about their bougie establishment then why were there two grown women going at it on the couch making out like 15-year-olds in a nightclub on their first date ? Although this happened I paid the bill and still gave the idiot waitress a $16 tip...so to everybody out there that needs a break because there a mother or a parent this is not a kid...

I was invited by a band which I have known for about 3 years in another place and just happened to reach out the week before to see if they were still performing. Low and behold Delia's Lounge! Had never heard of it before but it is known to ne know and with a bang.
Parking can sometimes be challenging in this area, I was lucky to find one only 2 short away. As I approached Delia's, I did not hear a thing and thought maybe wrong day? It seems Delia's has good sound suppression for this residential and small business neighborhood! The band was sound checking when I arrived, and I greeted all of them. Their entourage was on the opposite of the entrance. I found a single seat near the bar. The place was really packed, and the waitress was running around trying to take care of the many tables and loungers. After a couple of songs, Greg approached me, and that's all she wrote. After meeting him, I felt like family!!! He took such good care of me. I asked him for a dry wine and boom it was there. Maggie, the waitress, came around and again family service. I was hungry and wanted to eat a little healthier. Greg told me about the chicken skewers and the 3 sauces you can choose. I picked the Thai sauce with a little spice kick. I also wanted a salad and he mentioned his Caesar salad was really good. I gobbled up both leaving little. It was fresh and prepared well. I saw most people got the burger or the portobello burger. The young lady next to me got a combo of both. I think I will try that next time!!! This place has a very atmosphere. The people are friendly and make you feel at home. My only problem? I wish I had discovered this...
Read moreFantastic lounge/bar/restaurant in the heart of Bay Ridge on 3rd Avenue. Proprietor Simon is a fixture in the neighborhood since making his way to Brooklyn from Ireland decades ago. Great place to sit outside to have a drink or two and perhaps smoke a cigar (there's a humidor a few doors down). Standouts on the menu include absolutely delicious skirt steak skewers served with Peter Luger dipping sauce and off-menu (🤫) chicken dumplings with thai chili sauce. Amenities include cozy couches to sink into, a fireplace, eclectic artwork, varied entertainment events like trivia and live music along with sports broadcasts, as well as good company every time I'm there. Highly recommended for date night or to watch the game.
Off menu chicken dumplings still a winner. Grilled chicken ceasar salad...
