You want to go there for two reasons: (1) Almost every "flavored coffee/tea and related snacks" available in the streets of NYC are rip-off disguised mediocre beans/leaves with cheap ingredients/sugar. This place is a game-changer: Using well sourced ingredients and flair in combination, you'll find that you can explore new options for what's cafeinated drinks have to offer: Try the lychee americano and you may simply change opinion on many things in life. I did. (2) The place is humane: the two baristas are enthusiastic, friendly and have time to make sure the time you spend there will be remembered. That's sort of a rare experience in a neighborhood that, while fun and full of options, remain quite busy/overwhelming. Here you can breathe and enjoy the shade of a nice tree while your taste buds are finding new realms.
Before you go (and have a wonderful experience) you simply need to be ok with two limitations: (1) This is minimalist in terms of facilities (no restrooms, place to wash your hands, no plugs, 4~6 chairs tiny tables, not even a roof protecting from the rain). (2) This is not a bargain: Prices are not outrageous but they follow the general 'is-that-real?' feeling you'll find in 95% of nyc coffee place. There are (a few) other places for bargains, but this place is different: it offers something unique and that...

However, also in 2025 i do believe image is everything. The large size iced coffee being in a short and wide cup was interesting. I think most would rather an oversized cup with room and plenty of ice versus a packed short cup that spills with the smallest amount of pressure.
Again my large iced americano with an extra shot of espresso and tip came out to be just under $10. Quite steep given the perceived value and especially given the below.
The real reason Iâm leaving this review is because they had no option other than âliquid sugarâ to sweeten the coffee. To not offer one sugar alternative is sad and sure itâs not âpuritanâ, however, there is a rampant problem with obesity in America and healthy substitutes like stevia, monk fruit, allulose all exist, and tbh even if you didnât want to offer those, Iâm sure all of us sugar avoidant would stomach a Splenda.
Please expand your option here and Iâd come back. The coffee was delicious, the barista was kind, and the...

Their menu is a fantastic blend of Japanese, Brazilian, and Italian inspired ideas that come to life in the best possible way.
