Valentino and Jet Hair Salon — Local services in New York

My haircut is awesome! However, I will never come back to that place. I have been a loyal client of this hair salon for more than 6 years. Never had an issue when I was coming to do only haircut, without blowout and hair wash. Today, a front desk lady charged me the price for hair wash, haircut and blowout - 3 services, despite that I did only one, and that was haircut. When I mentioned to the front desk lady that I only did haircut without hair wash and blowout, she said “it is all included even if you do not do it, you still have to pay for all 3 services.” What a shame! Again, this is not my first time in this hair salon, and I never had an issue before when doing only haircut without hair wash and blowout. All previous times in this hair salon, I was never asked before to pay for wash, haircut, and blowout when only haircut was done. This is something new that I need to pay for things that were not done, and no one warned me about it when I came in this time. My first time at the salon and everyone was nice. I was assigned with Sasha. While she seemed to be taking her time to understand what I had in mind, at the end, she did with what she herself had in mind. I ended up with very dark hair that I did not want in the first place. She would advocate for the outcome as “dark hair is not boring” and “it is fall, and dark hair is appropriate”. I even showed her a picture that I liked, and she said she doesn’t like it. She seemed to be more interested in executing her own taste and opinion rather than listening to what the client is asking and trying to make that happen. This was my first time visiting the salon and I can say it won't be my last. It was very clean, spacious and everyone there was polite. I only went in for a cut and style but my stylist Maria did exactly what I asked of her, during my consultation, I showed her a picture of a previous cut and style and she was happy to make sure I got what I needed. Sean washed my hair, he was really gentle and funny. And the price for my haircut and style was very reasonable, with tax I paid $74 and I have very long hair. I really enjoyed Maria and Sean, I made sure to tip him for the wash and I usually only tip my stylist $15 but I loved Maria and gave $25.
