Okay. I was waiting for this review. In fact, while I was dining in..about half way into it...all I could think of was rushing home to share this subpar experience on google. First off, I had to pay to get tickets to experience this. I don't mind it so much because it secures me a place inside the venue to dine and drink. Welp...that's literally all it offered...two Santa hats and an opportunity inside. Let me explain, when you get inside there are three floors. The top floor is the dine in area where you eat and drink. The floor you enter on is just to hang out at the bar. The floor downstairs is the club area. All seats are first come first serve although you picked a time to enter on the tickets you purchased. I don't know about you but I want a guaranteed seat so I can at least eat. Anyway...after going upstairs and being a hawk in the sky looking for a table to open up, I finally scoop one for me and the wife. Now we take in the very beautifully decorated area. Very photo op worthy I must say. A lot of hard work was put into designing the space to really bring out the Christmas spirit. We order our drinks. Very enticing drink menu filled with holiday drinks. They hit our table and low and behold they are in PLASTIC cups. I felt like I was back in college. For $20 a drink can I get a more ...I don't know ..creatively designed cup ..or just put it in a glass. I know I sound snobby but you just dumbed down fantastically made drinks and put it in a gas station plastic cup. The food comes and the presentation is even worse...its brought in a black styrofoam container like we are in a high school cafeteria or something but it made sense because the food was also crap. It's not the main menu ..it's some B.S quick food offered that was just as expensive as the drinks. Downstairs was the highlight..good music..people dancing...unfortunately same overpriced drink menu in the gas station cups. In short..don't come here...it's a tourist trap. Location is terrible, heart of time square where you have to walk through the horde of people to come experience the worst food and super overpriced drinks. The decorations were cool though...really above average in my opinion but not worth it just to take a couple of pictures.
Final message for the people running Frosty's. Either guarantee seating areas with a time limit on arrival or stop the reservations/ticket purchase (unless it's a VIP package). Get presentable themed holiday cups, silverware and plates. Dial back on the decorations if you can't afford to put the food and drinks in something mystifying otherwise you destroy the whole experience. Get at least two people on each floor to greet guests on entry otherwise NO ONE knows whats going on and we are forced to track down a waiter and bother him...that's how we figured out the waiting for...
Read moreAside from being told by the super rude bouncer out front that we had to purchase a ticket and still wait on a line while it was 29° out... which is fine... we waited for about 30 minutes with everyone. He made it very clear to me by saying the reason for the ticket is you get VIP service I said ok so why do I have to wait on line then. Nothing about purchasing a $30 ticket was VIP, sorry to say. I still had to pay at the bar and no special table reserved so idk what VIP service he was talking about. His answer, then don't come in. Totally uncalled for. If he gave a better explanation as in you need a ticket regardless to enter the building (not ViP) then that makes more sense. I wasn't rude at all, it was just a simple question because I was trying to help out a group of girls in front of me as well. Anyway, aside from that grinch.. which by the way buddy If you don't like your job, then quit cause other people need work too and I'm sure would appreciate it.
On a better note, this place is phenomenal with the decorations inside, totally lit up from top to bottom. Absolutely beautiful and gives of a positive and Christmasy vibe all the way. Leave the grinch outside LOL. The music was everyyyything!! The DJ sure knew what he was doing, he had everyone on their feet dancing the night away. The drinks I totally fell in love with the drink the bartender ( i didnt het her name but she was awesomeeeee) made me called The grinch. I recommend this place to All! It's so festive, I can't wait to go back again probably this week! I will be trying the restaurant this...
Read moreWent on Sunday 12/4..the decorations were A+ so if you’re only looking for IG/social media pictures it’s great. But we paid $25 for tickets for no one to check them, we were told they didn’t know where we should go so we headed up a small flight of steps to the bar. When trying to order drinks most were not available and the ones we got were horrible(I legit could’ve made a better drink and I’m no bartender) luckily the drink was free because AGAIN no one checked our tickets. We also weren’t able to go down stairs because it was booked out by a private party. This should have been stated when buying tickets so we had the option of choosing a time the party was gone or another day to get the full experience. On the website it states 21+ so I was surprised to see kids with their families, I expected only adults.they should also mention the drink add on comes in a souvenir red cup and not picture worthy cups. We did end up leaving the nasty drinks behind, taking a couple photos and leaving. Definitely not worth buying tickets for! Not sure why tickets are needed, it should be treated like a regular walk in bar unless you wish to dine in as they have limited eating areas. NOT WORTH GOING OR SPENDING MONEY unless you’re ordering drinks the bartenders can actually make and are there for the aesthetic. I did see the reviews and always try to give places a benefit of doubt due to everyone having a difference in opinion of what they consider bad/good but all bad reviews are legit. The concept is really great just wish it was...
