I went to get an ice cream for me and for the child I am watching excitingly yesterday around 3pm-3:15pm when the lady in the counter was out of the blue so obnoxious towards me. The lady that was in front of me motioned me to go ahead since she was not decided what flavor to get yet. I stooped to looked at the flavors since I am not using my eye glasses instead I was using sunglasses since it was like 80 degrees. I am just so sad since we loved the ice cream shop and it is just close to my employer’s house. So sad that out beautiful day was ruined by a bad attitude of the salesperson!!! I would like to get the attention of the owner of this shop since this person does not belong to this great shop. Please if you have a camera please check. I can’t believe there still people with that kind of attitude towards their customers. There were more exchanged of our conversations that does not need to be publicly announced! I am so disappointed… Hopefully the owner will look into this employee. I will come back tomorrow since I forgot to take a photo of this woman. Update 6/20/2022, fiordilatte (milk cream) was too sweet / high in sugar, the nocciola (hazelnut) was perfect, and the fondente (vegan dark chocolate) was also perfect and had a nice flavorful bitterness to it and lower in sugar. The yogurt is among the lowest in sugar and an amazing flavor and the best gelato flavor anywhere. Pistachio is the 4th of my favorites. Some of the other flavors are too sweet. Gelateria Gentile use local fresh milk, and other ingredients are from Italy and very fresh and high quality. The staff are very friendly and helpful and professional and will work with you to take home your ice cream cone or scoops in your own zero-waste container ! 3/20/2023, Monday: I had a larger cone of fondente (85% dark chocolate) and vegan nocciola (hazelnut), and the portion was a bit small compared to Venchi, but the flavors were delicious with the bitter and sweetness of the almost black dark chocolate, and the extra nutty flavor of the hazlenut beyond what you find in the traditional whole milk based hazelnut gelato.
