Iliana's Bar Lounge — Restaurant in New York

Nice place and our waitress was great. Went for brunch with a friend. The music was way too loud for mid-day with just 3 tables being served. We asked to turn it down. They offer endless mimosa's and since we both don't drink alcohol we got these mocktails which were good. I would've preferred a carafe of my drink at my table then calling the waitress each time I needed a refill. The griot and waffles was very good. I didn't get the white rice I asked for so I just asked for the black bean sauce to have with my rice and peas.The stewed goat was extremely salty and I couldn't even eat it so we told the waitress who in turn called the owner. The only thing I thought could've been addressed different was her response after I let her know how salty it was and I told her she needs to taste it (maybe someone in the back thought it was garlic powder and went a bit heavy handed). Her response after asking me what was wrong with it, was that someone else meaning another customer, had it also and I guess that was ok for them but that isn't my concern when I am telling you to go and check your product. I had a fantastic time coming to eat and enjoying my meal at the restaurant. The owner is this wonderful gracious host who gives a warm welcome to anyone who comes into her restaurant. I had a wagyu burger with fries and an agua fresca. although the food was a little pricey it tasted great and definitely worth the drive or walk. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing great for dates or to just relax and get a drink. I would have taken a picture but i ended up finishing the burger before i even thought about this....
