I would give negative stars if I could. I came here for a solo dinner because I’m by myself on a work trip and after reading the reviews, I built up the courage to eat out alone because I thought it would go well. The reviews definitely had me fooled. I don’t know if it was because I came alone but the service AND food was terrible. Waited an hour for a seat at the bar, when i was finally seated, there were 6 seats open. On top of that a man who was also a party of one and wasn’t on the waitlist was seated before I was. I wasn’t actually seated until 15 minutes after I finally approached the hostess and brought up my concern about the man being seated first. I can’t even say that maybe just the hostess service was bad because it continued onto the service of food and taste. Now the food, I came for the $45 unlimited steak and the whole experience was awful. The steaks I received were well done and medium. I ordered medium well. On top of that, the steaks were SUPER SALTY. My tongue definitely felt the aftermath of the salty steaks and fries. I also didn't even get water until I ASKED after the first steak. Once I finished my second steak, they never came to refill my steak even after I requested medium well again. Apparently, there is actually a limit. Maybe just for single parties though because the couple seated next to me were refilled multiple times while I was waiting. I even asked at least 7 people for a refill and they said it would come but it never did. I waited an hour of just sitting waiting until I was done. Overall the service and the food sucked. Maybe it was because I was alone or maybe it was just that their service is normally bad but I would save your money and go elsewhere especially if you’re alone. If I knew my service would be like this, i’d rather get a steak bowl at chipotle and I’d get better service. The only person that was good was the manager. I spoke up my concerns and he handled it very well and covered the meal. I never like to be a Karen and would honestly never write a review this long but I had so much time waiting for the steaks that never came so I wrote this review. Plus y his service was just so bad, I had to say something because I was so uncomfortable and the entire time the couple next to me shamed and gossiped about me while next to me the entire time, not to mention I know they were friends of the hostess because she came up to them having the type of private conversation you wouldn’t normally have with a random customer. Ok so let me start by saying this establishment if very beautiful I love the feel of it, but terrible service my first time here was my worst time I’m such a foody trying different restaurant is my thing so when I eat at a magnificent restaurant I tend to wanna keep going but in this case was very much the opposite I wanted to come here so badly and had by far the worse experience! I wanted to go for the steak, n the strawberry shortcake shell. Soi went for Mother’s Day oh how happy I was to then ve so disappointed me n my family reached the restaurant and waited for awhile for our waitress to come to us when she finally get there we order drinks food the whole shabang! Now, let me mention it was pretty empty when we reach the restaurant by the time our drinks came it was a couple that sat down maybe 20 mins before another 2 family’s sat at the same time as the previous family n while our drinks came out and they food,drinks, along with anything else came out they were eating, me and my family brought it to they attention that we’ve been here for along time with no food now when our food does come my son & His step dad food came first they brought out piece by piece the steak was nothing but fat my son could not eat it!! The asparagus was suppose to come out with my steak they came out cold!! So now no one enjoyed the food n I still haven’t gotten mines after 2hrs now! We ask for the manager he gets to the table and tell me my waitress forgot to put in my food order which she kept telling me it’s coming it’s coming soon!!! So imagine my Mother’s Day was turning out horrible until my daughters dad made reservations for my fav restaurant capital grille which he was gonna take me in the first place but he said he knew I wanted to try leagasea bar n gril he was tryna give me something different!!! We came here THE day before thanksgiving, which I also worked so I was very grateful to all the staff who were working it. The host was lovely and sweet, sat us as soon as she could which was maybe 10 minutes. We were immediately given water and continuously and politely refilled when we were low. Our server, Emily was a doll and let us know about the flavor profiles of the oysters. We decided on the west coast selection, very light brine, beachy, had a nice presentation on ice with really great accompaniments—house made onion minionette (bro, I know I’m not spelling it right but a red wine vinegar with some raw white onion), cocktail sauce, and a cute lil tabasco. I don’t know if they were FRESH fresh, but they tasted nice. Crab beignets, very light on the crab and silly little powdered beignets, we ate them but would’ve skipped. I didn’t even take a picture of them. Entrees! I got the mussels, my boyfriend got the all you can eat Ribeye. The mussels were pretty great actually, loved the broth, tangy and spicy, rich, the mussels were clean with no grit and came With the driest bread ever that sucked up the broth really well. So maybe that was intentional, bc it ended up working great. The ribeye was ordered medium and came out well done, it was immediately fixed with a sizzling new preset. The steak was very fatty, and we get it, it’s unlimited, it was just fine. Light seasoning with two sauces on the plate. I couldn’t tell you what either of them were aside from ketchup for the fries which were pretty good, also not so seasoned but they were crispy and hot good ole fries. One sauce had an aioli feel which we both liked and the other was a bright verde type deal that had, I think, cilantro in it. Overall, the steak was unimpressive but just fine, very tasty mussels, fair oysters. Drinks! They had a sort of build your own martini jawn going on? And it was the first time I had a martini. 🍸 I did a vodka, neat, shaken martini with a twist. Served in a coup, we got two so I guess we liked it? It was nice.
