I have been given the run around for straight 3 weeks just to simply add my child... First it was Our online portal is down than it was that it doesn't work after that it was the birth certificate is not readable and now they can't find copy of social security number that was faxed and uploaded on the portal and i Still do not have my child added for all these weeks and still am paying prescriptions out of my own pocket for my sick child... i am very disappointed and can not believe i have been with them all this time. Update 2022: they gave me the same run around like they did for my child only this time 100x worse... First they ask for form to be filled out and which I did via online portal and email... than they stay quiet and don’t call me even tho they are fully aware of my problem trying to enroll my 2nd child.. when my child’s pediatrician calls saying he is still not enrolled... their excuse was COB form was not complete because it was left blank and didn’t write yes or no yet I was on vacation so of course I didn’t see the letter they supposedly mailed to me lol. 1199 is a joke and they will do anything to make it like pulling teeth so they don’t pay...
Read morePlease look elsewhere. The last thing I want to think about after giving birth is pay. 1199 added so much stress by taking weeks to approve it AFTER. I was crying calling waiting for a call back. Never ask for a call back on their phone system - they DO NOT return calls ever. Not to mention pay was going to be about $55 per day. I'm not sure how anyone can survive off that. And then after everything I get a letter stating I no longer have insurance benefits only to call ans find out that is false. That is not the type of stress a new mother needs. Ive dealt with a not so good work place (office bullying/harassment) and their response was for me to just find a new job. There is such a lack of support and guidance. A lot of the time calling in for help you are given the run around. It's just not worth it. I do not feel supported. Although you provide all necessary documentation they find a way to deny you continuous coverage & your disability pay that you are entitled of. She also demands you to pay into COBRA, How can you come up with $1000 per month when you’re already disabled to keep your benefit when you’re entitled of coverage for 26 weeks?
