Read moreI absolutely love 7th Street Burger. Ever since my first experience a couple of years ago, it has become my go-to burger spot in NYC. They have locations all around the city, but I’ve been to this one the most because of its convenient location and the space, and was just here again last week with a friend visiting from out of town.
They have a very simple menu and they do it very well. Their Cheeseburgers ($6.50+) are not very big, so even though I’m not a big eater, I generally order the Double Cheeseburger ($9.50+) and also recommend it to my friends. It is very greasy, but so good. The Fries ($4.50+) are ok, but it’s nice to have some with burgers, so I generally order one to share. I also love the Mexican Coke ($3.50+) in a glass bottle. So for a total of $30+, you can have a very tasty meal for 2.
Unlike some of their other locations, although limited, this one has actual seating for dining in, which is nice. Last week, my friend and I went past 11am as soon as they opened and were able to get a table. By the time we were leaving, it was full and there were people waiting for tables. The only downside was that the music was a little too loud, especially at 11am.
I’ve introduced 7th Street to many people and everyone who I’ve been with has loved it. If you’ve never been, this...
Read moreWow, for the hype this place has, I can't believe I'm only giving one star. Firstly, the store was quite dirty and one of the tables was actually sticky. The tables need to be cleaned more often. Secondly, the staff looked very irritated when I was ordering and no nice comments, just a bunch of "okay" after everything I mention. I get people have stuff going on in their lives, but as someone who was worked in the restaurant business, at least put an effort into looking happy. At least the chefs were very quick in making my order. Lastly, the burger. This was just not that tasty. Firstly, this was the greasiest smashburger I have ever had. On top of that, the combined sauce, onions, and meat made for a sandwich with the weirdest texture ever. It was way too sweet to be considered a burger, genuinely felt like I was eating a dessert. The actual meat itself when I ripped it apart was fine and cooked well, but the sauce is disgusting. I'm really hoping the sauce didn't go bad but after three very tiny bites, I threw my sandwich out and I couldn't finish it. I am willing to give this company another try, maybe the Times Square location just isn't it, but the taste of that burger is something keeping me away from here. The best part about my experience was the bottled coke and the moment I...
