Can't say enough good things about this place; there really aren't any other good Tex-Mex places in Brooklyn (this end of Brooklyn, at least). The place is very spacious (second floor is huge and there's an outdoor garden), the margaritas are delicious, and the food always comes out in huge portions — a welcome relief given that surrounding restaurants charge the same price but give you half the portion.

I usually come in towards the end of the week and hang out at the bar which is really an excellent centerpiece when you walk in: a great, big wooden bar with the Texas longhorn hanging in the middle of it. They have only one TV in the place (at the end of the bar) as far as I know, but the bartenders are nice enough to put on any game you want, so that's a big plus.

It's just a friendly, welcoming place I can't think of any downside to this place. Although, one reviewer said that they were disappointed that the cash-only mandate wasn't stated more specifically upfront and, on that one point, I can commiserate; I was a bit surprised when I first learned that, as well. It COULD be in larger print on the menu or, perhaps, on the door when you walk in, but, hey,...

Eh, I'm a little disappointed that I was disappointed in this place.

Was really craving queso and, after reading some decent reviews, queso was the first thing I saw on their menu. So, my boyfriend and I gave it a try. The queso was good, not mind-blowing good, but good enough. The salsa had a nice bite to it and the chips were fresh.

But, I ordered the carne guisada tacos. In a normal case, there's a ton of flavor in this dish, but it was majorly lacking. The meat was good and tender but there was just zero flavor. My boyfriend had the pulled pork burrito and said the same - it just needed more flavor and spice.

Went to pay and found out they only accept cash... but they have an ATM upstairs. Of course they do. I get that some places do this, but for a sit down place I expect to see somewhere before ordering that it's cash only. Guess if they told you then they'd lose a lot of business soooo, it is what it is.

All in all, I'm not pressed to come back here but I'm glad I tried it, it was good service and...

First time in this restaurant. It has a very cozy ambient. Waiters don't bother. Today they had the Margarita Happy Hour and it's pretty much the best one's i've had so far. The bartender definitely knows how to mix it up the right way. For plates I ordered The Wolf, Pollo Borracho and chilli with cheese and chips. I thought it would be around 100.00 for this dinner and was way much less than expected plus tip. The food was perfect and it seems the chef was working hard to bring the food with the highest standards possible.

Highly recommended for groups, couples and even family.

Edit:

We went here again after years due to moving somewhere else and we ordered:

Full rack baby ribs Chili with cheese Mac n Cheese with bacon Rice and beans Pineaple Juice Margarita Pacifico beer

Every single plate and drink was delicious. Erick the waiter, went above and beyond to ensure everything was great.

Shoutout to the kitchen crew for prepping the food...

The place has nice decor, really cozy. Outside patio area as well, which is a plus. Got greeted by the hostess and bartender as soon as I walked in. Although, the waiters were sitting at a table on their phones half the time. Drinks were given to us right away, Texas Tea was tasty. Appetizer came almost instantly. Chicken quesadilla was great. I order the enchilada and two taco combo. It was good but my chicken tacos had hidden bones in them. The refried beans were very obviously spoiled and smelled rotten. The waitress just believed "I didn't like them". Hopefully no one else ordered them! I would have much rather been offered another side dish, rather than just getting a side plate to "scoop" off the beans myself. And still having rotten remnants on my plate.

Super nice service and great food! We came in for dinner and ordered a bunch of dishes to get to taste as much as possible. Dishes that stood out: The surprise of the night was the Cactus Salad -very light and the cactus gives it a nice kick . Mole chicken enchiladas were delicious and the mole had nice heat to it. We got one of the specials- Jalapeno cheesy steak enchiladas, the sauce was heaven on a plate , spicy and creamy. The steak was a bit tough for my taste but the seasoning was ON POINT. For dessert we got churros with chocolate ice cream and tress leches filling, a great way to finish the meal. Washed it all down with virgin and regular Margaritas 🍹🍹🍹
