Desserts themselves are good as I've always loved Mango Mango being a loyal customer at the Chinatown location for years back when they had punch cards for free desserts. Their is definitely more room and seating at the St Mark's location but I would have to say unfortunately I do not like this location better due to their poor customer service. I've been here twice and both times (once in the winter and this past summer weekend), service was more or less the same poor quality. We were seated right away but they did not take our order right away. It wasn't busy this weekend either when we were seated but got busy 15 min in, and they still neglected to take our order. After our order finally was taken, we waited for our desserts which took longer than regular meals at restaurants. How long does scooping 3 scoops of ice cream take??? We watched 4 other tables around us who arrived after us and ordered after us, received their orders first. Only after we spoke up did they finally finish our order but it still took another 5-10 min... First time I visited in the winter, we sat for a good 30 min till we realized they forgot our order completely! When I flagged someone down to finally ask what was taking so long, the worker asked me if I wanted the check. Check for what?! We didn't even get to eat anything. And when they finally did give us our order it was another 20 min and they charged us full price, no apologies or anything. I should have known better than to come back this weekend but I wanted to chalk the first experience to bad luck. I really should have known better to stick...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I had a HORRIBLE experience today. Like others have mentioned on Yelp, the service here is absolutely horrendous: rude, glacially slow, and ineffective. The restaurant was not busy. After being seated with a cool welcome and placed our order after flagging someone down, we proceeded to wait while the employees talked and then brought boxes of mangos into the store. One employee literally just stood behind the desk while this was happening rather than help out front or in the kitchen as we waited an excessively long time for a dish that should take under 5 minutes to put in a bowl (no cooking required).
I finally asked if someone was preparing our order and was gruffly told yes. When our dish finally arrived, it was missing an ingredient I asked for. I got up from the table to ask our original server about it, and she said the additional topping was coming. However that took another 5 minutes, by which time we were nearly done with the bowl. This tiny addition of a few pieces of taro mochi cost $4, even though the bowl itself only cost $7.
Eager to leave, we went to pay the check at the front rather than wait for the poor service. The two employees were arguing behind the desk, barely acknowledged us, and did not even look at us as we paid and left. These employees were rude and did not do their jobs. I literally never write google reviews but this was so horrendous that I had no choice. A real bummer too, because the dessert was delicious, but I don’t know if I can tolerate...
Read moreif youre black or try to be “woke” do not go here at any cost!!! theyre racist and im not the only people who went through this treatment. we came in and our menus were thrown on the table. our waiter, the average sized korean guy not the bigger one, comes up after about 10 minutes to take our order, but they were out the one product everyone wants, mango sticky rice. we needed a few extra minutes to decide so we asked for that. he says ok, walks away, sits down and leaves us for at least 20 minutes. we were on a time constraint as well, and at this point it was almost 11 pm. he comes, takes our orders and i ask for water. he says “water? ok.” then new customers walk in who are non black and get tended to immediately and provided with water. the water i asked for. he sits back down for another 20 minutes. the food now comes. still no water. so i ask the girl who brought the food if she could ask my waiter for the water. she brings the water herself, probably not wanting to provoke him either. more black people came in, got their menus thrown down and asked for water and to no surprise, they didnt recieve any either. i also checked on tiktok to see if any others recieved this treatment and of course...
