Okay, so basically the desserts are amazing (legit delicious and alone would get a 5 star rating), but the staff is racist. Continue bellow for the story:

My friend and I were in the area and she said she wanted to get her nails done. The place she was going to get them done was right across the street. As we past, I saw the cute desserts and we both decided to look in and see what was up. The hostess was super sweet asked if we wanted to sit or just order. Since this was our first time there, we said we would look around and then decided. After looking we both knew what we wanted but my friend wanted her nails done more. She went across the street, but I decided to stay. Hostess got me a table and a menu. Maybe 2 minutes later, someone brought me water. 5 minutes after that the waitress came and took my order. I got a vanilla yogurt pound cake and a cake pop. Maybe 3 minutes later, the desserts arrived. CRAZY DELICIOUS! While I'm eating I decided to watch a little Netflix on my phone and put on my headphones. I'm still eating and am people watching cause I do that time to time. I see the waitress is trying to sit people by me, but everyone is asking for a different seat. All good, I've heard this area was getting gentrified and knew what to expect. Give me my space! A few people do sit down next to me, order, get their desserts and leave. Maybe 3 guest in total, all from the same waitress.

I finish the cake a while ago now and realize a good 30-35 minutes have past. I, for some magical reason, did not have the best phone service so I couldn't contact my friend and tell her I was still in the dessert place. I try to get the waitress' attention and I SWEAR TO YOU she is avoiding me like the plague. I am debating standing up and going to the front or just yelling cause time is passing and she is going to everyone else, but my black self! Now a hour has past and my friend returns. I tell her what has gone down, but also tell her about the cute af macaroons they have. I knew she loves them and the flavors sound interesting. OUT OF THIN AIR THE DAMN WAITRESS FINALLY APPEARS. She takes my plates and takes my friends order. We decided to stay since we are already seating and since I still haven't paid I told her I would cover the macaroons she orders. Waitress drops them off and, like before, pays us no attention. Now that my headphones are off, I can hear her conversations with other customer. She has a soft voice, is making jokes, treating people like family and the such. My friend says the waitress did not do the same with us and I agree. We both realize that every Black person (esp. Dark skinned Black people) who have walked in are ordering and gtf up out of there. Hella time has past so I am over this, I stand up head to the counter. The waitress come around with all her tables checks because her shift is ending. I pay our tab asap and get out!

Great food, terrible service. I would love to get cakes there, but I would never ever sit down in that establishment. To be so invisible and yet so visible at the same time is something no POC is new to, but it sure is annoying. I would suggest finding a less racist bakery, but from what I heard the whole area is...

Good baked goods but home to consistently awful customer service. I've been here a few times to enjoy a napoleon or to buy cake but my latest experience has turned me off visiting here again.

I came here with my partner recently to get a cake for a relative and were met with prompt unhelpful service. When asking between 7 inch cakes and 8 inch cakes we were presented with the option of the Strawberry shortcake in 8 inches, but thinking it'd be good to save some money we asked if they had a 7 inch in black forest. They said they would check and didn't come back to confirm with us. When discussing it, we decided to have more would be better anyways so we went back and made a request to exchange the 7-inch black forest for an 8-inch strawberry shortcake.

Now we thought that we didn't need to do anything and trusted the employees to do their thing and prepare the writing on the cake. Unfortunately to our surprise they came back to us with an 8-inch black forest cake. We were surprised at this and said that we requested a strawberry shortcake and asked if we could get the original cake we asked for. The employee said that they could help us but it might cost us extra. Okay. We're willing to front the cost if we get the proper cake, they just need to check with the manager.

Before the manager arrived another worker (not the one who was helping us with the cake) felt prompted to shout at us that we ordered a black forest cake. Now at this point we were nothing but patient, we weren't trying to make a scene or cause beef. We tried to explain what happened and our side but when the manager came she also said that we were at fault right out of the gate instead of trying to come to an understanding with us.

At this point, we understood, we get it, you don't value the individual customer, you already get enough business online. But the blatant disregard made us just quit the fight. It's not worth coming back to this place where we are treated as expendable. Would rate a 0 if I could, you've exhausted any goodwill...

Disappointing- I have wanted to try their hot chocolate for a long time. I came in early, they were not busy. I asked about the pricing for the drink because on the board they only have one price written, but have multiple sizes. The cashier acted annoyed to have to be answering questions - major attitude even though there was no one else waiting. I ordered a medium and she got the order wrong and gave me a small. Again - the store is basically empty. She took the small and just poured it into a medium cup which ruined the whipped cream that was on top, then just added milk to fill the space. Ok whatever. But to top it off I’m in a boot for a broken foot and when she switched the cups the top was on loosely. My boot hit the ledge exiting the store and the lid popped off and the entire drink spilled. She was helping someone else and I couldn’t get her attention so I started trying to help clean it up with napkins. When I got her attention I asked for paper towels or something to help clean it, I never want to leave a mess for someone else to deal with. Again with attitude she said “you should have told me, now you’ve used all our napkins.” No I didn’t LOL and also I tried to tell you? The whole encounter was so uncomfortable I left feeling like I wanted to cry. Also no offer to remake my drink for me and I felt like I couldn’t ask because of how rude she was. This woman needs customer service training, it’s disgusting first thing in the morning to deal with...
