Unfortunately I have to leave a not so good review. I ordered a Parm hero, 2 cheese slices and a ginger ale. What I got was a Sprite, not a big deal but a call would of been appreciated regarding the substitute. A piping hot sandwich did not serve a warning when I reached into the bag to pull it out and burned my hand. The sandwich was barely wrapped in 2 small sheets of aluminum foil. It was unexpected and to my surprise, No napkins..! The 2 slices were just that, and put away for a later time. The Parm hero was delicious tho, no complaints on the taste and texture, the build could of use some dressing up as it was messy. Why? The wrapping up was never done, so lazily it traveled to me. One positive point of the delivery, it arrived 12 minutes sooner than expected time of delivery as mentioned in the order app. Overall, I may gave them another chance...
Read moreNow this is pizza! My friend came from England and I drove from Connecticut meet her so we could explore NYC together. The night before we tried pizza from San Matteo Pizzaria e Cucina and that was extremely disappointing. Naturally, the next day we were on the hunt for truly good NY pizza and Mimi’s does it right! Crust is thin but perfectly crispy, sauce is flavorful and I liked the sliced sausage vs crumbled sausage we typically see in CT. I’d go back just to try their popular cup and char grandma style next. Service was pleasant and a fresh pie was served quick. I like that they have a few tables/seats outside the restaurant and offer more than just your usual condiments like: grated parm and crushed red pepper, but included garlic powder and...
Read moreI’m Italian-American and a fan of savory sauces. I took off a star for the Americanized sweetness of the sauce at Mimi’s Pizza. It’s not as over-the-top sweet as some grocery store spaghetti sauces, but it’s still a sweet enough sauce to be a distraction from an otherwise fantastic pizza. 🍕 It’s not greasy, got a wonderful crispy crust and fresh and varied toppings. I included a photo of the only “dine-in” option, so you won’t expect a table to eat with your friends. I ordered and paid online which was definitely the way to go. Other people were standing in Mimi’s cramped quarters waiting for their pizza. The online service tells you exactly when your pizza will be ready, down to the minute, so you can just walk in...
