I loved the Patrizia's in Hicksville when I went for my cousin's birthday party so I decided to tell my eating buddies about it and we decided to go after work on Friday for an early dinner before an art show.
We arrived and were seated right away the waiter / server who attended to us was very helpful, patient and Charming he helped us decide on what to order because my friends didn't want to do family style they thought it would be too much food.
Since I had the burrata, lambchops, Pizza and the fioretti at the Hicksville location we decided to get those items and share them. The fioretti also came with a huge salad and although everything tasted very good I was a little disappointed with the burrata. It was $18 and you just got one piece of cheese with some type of garnish I believe to be eggplant and peppers. I also don't care for their choice of bread. It's pizza dough. I prefer a nice crusty semolina or something like that with Italian food.
We got there at about 3:30 so I'm guessing shifts changed because the guy who wound up waiting on our table was terrible. He rarely came to check on us, he wasn't helpful he seemed a bit annoyed when we asked about dessert. I showed him a picture of the deserts that we had in Hicksville and asked him which one they were on the menu and he seemed very annoyed to answer us but we wound up getting Tiramisu and Nutella patrizia's which is a puff pastry filled with Nutella. Although both were tasty the Nutella patrizia's was nothing like the one in Hicksville it seemed a little burnt and not pretty to look at but the taste was okay.
I'm so very glad that my friends enjoyed the food and I wanted to give this location four stars but because of the service I had to give it ...
Read moreOne star? How about NO stars. First things first, this is my second time eating at patrizia’s, of Manhattan in kips bay; my first time being early November, second time being last evening. NEVER will I EVER be eating here again. The service is atrocious. My 6 person party and I were rushed through every course we were given. Our plates were taken away from us while we were eating. I left patrizia’s hungry and that should say something given it’s family styled..The food was cold even before it came to the table. After the last entree I asked for coffee and my waiter told me “yeah, to go”.. this is funny because the unlimited coffee is included in the family styled menu my party and I chose and paid for mid entree. When the dessert came out, my party and I were asked to leave because another table was waiting for our table. This is funny again because the 10 + party sitting directly behind us who was seated before my party wasn’t asked to leave. The manager (young Caucasian male) told me that “this topic was not up for discussion, took our plates and full glasses of wine and beer off the table and our bill that was not signed. I am a big fan of supporting businesses especially during these trying times but I will never again give patrizias of Manhattan my business ever again. I highly do not recommend...
Read moreI’m writing to express my disappointment with my recent visit to your restaurant, which was meant to be a special celebration for my parents' birthdays. I’ve had wonderful experiences at your Brooklyn location, so I was expecting a similar quality here, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.
Firstly, I specifically mentioned a peanut allergy when ordering a cake to be brought out at the end of our meal. Despite this, the cake that was served not only contained nuts but was also presented with three slices on one plate, which was both concerning and unappetizing.
Additionally, I ordered the Sacchettoni dish, expecting it to include both salmon and steak as I was assured by the server. However, when the entrees arrived, I only received the pasta, with no protein. When I inquired about the missing items, the server informed me that my request was impossible, as “they don’t put salmon and steak in the dish.” This crucial detail was not communicated to me when I placed my order, leading to considerable frustration and hunger.
To make matters worse, an appetizer was brought out that we had clearly declined when placing our order. This oversight added to the overall disappointment of the evening.
I hope this feedback helps you address these issues so future guests can have a...
