Being a self acclaimed poke expert, I have tried poke across Hawaii and have also tried so many different shops in Manhattan (son of thunder, pokeworks, sweetcatch poke, among others that came and go), yesterday, i finally got to try the Poke Bowl.
I arrived at the shop at 10:50am, 10 mins before it opens. The sweet pleasant lady behind the counter waved at me and welcome me inside despite she was still preparing for open. This gesture already warmed my heart. The poke itself was fresh and portion size is great and the taste is similar to what I had in Hawaii. I actually liked the bowl so much I decided to go back for the second the same day! When I got there at around 5:30, a very nice gentlemen opened the door for me. luckily, the same gal (Sabrina) that helped me earlier was still there and she even recognized me. When this gentlemen found out I came back for second, to my surprise, he offered me a FREE bowl! It turns out he is the owner of the shop. Instantly, it made me realizes why a lot of the other poke shops have came and gone in NYC but Poke Bowl managed to stay and even expand to another shop recently during pandemic. The customer service and the generosity is unmatched and it’s a step Above and beyond the expected service that truly set them apart. They now have me instantly as a fan and a returning...

I was harassed several times by the manager of the location after I left a review detailing the events. I requested he please stop contacting me multiple times but he kept contacting me. It's a shame that I got caught in a scam, but it's my own fault for not reading the reviews. Live and learn!
Came here on 10/29/21 around 4:30PM and placed an order through their online website. Unfortunately, their company website is broken and sent my order to another location.
I waited 30 minutes for food that was never prepared, and their was a communication difficulty with the several managers at this location. They accused me of trying to get free food and wouldn't make my order. The company will NOT make your order unless you confirm an email, but their broken computer system will still charge you regardless.
So charge me, but don't make the food? Gotcha!
I show my credit card pop up for their restaurant with the charge for exactly $18.36. This should suffice, right?
Wrong.
I'm told they will not refund me, and they will not remake the food I paid for. A quick phone call to my credit card company, and now on 12/14/21, just confirmed the chargeback was a success. Got...
Read moreStinky fish + Rude staff. I’ve been here before and the poke was good. I came back as I saw they introduced crispy rice sushi I was excited about. They served the salmon and it looked quite unappealing. I smelt it and it was definitely old. I asked the staff and he showed me frozen salmon mashed up which they take out of the freezer each time to put on top of the fried rice sushi. I’m sure this item is not selling a lot and they don’t replace the fish which caused the smell. I asked the guy to provide me a refund but he refused to. He instead gave me a poorly made poke bowl which was smaller in portions than the usual size and to make it worse he splurged a bunch of spicy mayo. The staff is rude and unaccommodating. It seems like someone reviewed the same staff member 3 weeks ago having poor attitude towards paying customers. I just discarded my order and took the loss $17.
Per comment from manager of the store below - it indicates they have no common customer service decency.
