Salt & Pepper Deli & Grill — Restaurant in New York

I said I was gonna take a picture of my meal but I was so hungry I forgot to but first of all the vegan turkey club is so good, it’s slept on. I see on Uber eats and in reviews the vegan chopped cheese and Italian sandwich are the only ones getting some love. Based on what I’ve tried today I believe a-lot of their vegan sandwiches are tasty but I have yet to try them all. I ordered the vegan Philly for my mother and the vegan turkey club for myself. I’m not a Philly cheesesteak type of gal but my mother wanted some of my sandwich so we split both hero's with one another ( I asked for the club bread to be swapped for hero bread). For anyone who is hesitant to eat the vegan sandwiches here trust me they are delicious and worth the price , and they taste like the real deal. This isn’t one of those food reviews where they say the vegan food is real good and it’s gross. I love sandwiches and I’m very picky about my vegan sandwiches. This is the best vegan club I have ever had. It’s so hard to perfect a vegan club because vegan deli slices taste nothing like the real deal. This sandwich had me worried I ate some real bacon but it was just seasoned really good. Also if you don’t eat soy I’d avoid the turkey club because it’s made with soy deli slices and soy bacon. If I have any weird reactions to the food after 24 hours I’ll come back and edit my review....

i ordered from here on doordash. i ordered a vegan chopped cheese and a regular philly cheesesteak. I received a VEGAN philly cheesesteak, and a regular chopped cheese. I also specified that I was allergic to mushrooms and tomatoes and they put both on both sandwiches. It was completely wrong. What’s even worse is the instructions were stapled TO THE BAG. IN PLAIN SIGHT. Also the bread was soggy lol. If i could give zero stars, I would. I waited 2 hours for food that I can’t even eat. Like??? I’ll never be ordering from here again. Super disappointed in this place! I used to spend money here EVERYDAY until I witnessed a younger black man tell the clerk he was missing a quarter from his change but the clerk could keep it . After the man walked out the clerk literally looked me in the eyes and stated you African Americans are sooo smart huh (sarcastically I’ll had) ... really ??? I AM DONE with this place !!!! This is the last incident I draw the line it is already CLEAR who this store caters too based on the accuracy of my orders and time I have to wait to be served !!...
