Modern Fast Food - Chinese Hunan Very Spicy and Delicious Cuisine. We were very confused about the MENU at first as dishes were not very discriptive, even though you could see photos of each dish. But a very friendly Cashier was happy to list details for every dish and I am glad I asked to describe dishes we were thinking about trying and even sadly they didn't have my favorite Eggplant but we discovered they had unique authentic Delicious Mushrooms Appetizer and other Salads which could go well as an extra side to the main Bowl. I feel Lucky as I was not shy to ask about delicious appetizers /salads and they had really unique Chinese Dumplings and Chinese Mushrooms and other Salads - very authentic and delicious and complimentary to our main dinner bowls. For main Dinner course we ordered delicious Liver and Beef with veggies mix and had Salads as Complimentary side to main Dish rather than an appetizer. I am glad that knowing from my former Chinese colleague who always ordered Hunan style meals in places around NYC that she took us for lunches and dinners that Hunan style Chinese food tends to be very spicy and I asked cashier before I ordered and she advised us to order Low Spice Level and said it will feel to ordinary people not used to Hunan style as Mild Spicy. I am very glad that I asked as we enjoyed our meal. The only thing I wish that they could have healthier Brown rice as an option on the menu (as so many of New Yorkers are very Health Conscientious and very perculiar about their dining options). I wish they would also allow Low Carb variations of each dish with more veggies in the same bowl and No Rice or No Noodles variation of the dishes with Keto Friendly Diet style in mind for those of us who are trying to stay in shape or those who may want to avoid getting too many Carbs (for those who must count Carbs in their diet).
Perhaps they could consider these variation as many more people who are concerned about weight gain or Keto or Lower Carb counting diets could enjoy this spicy Hunan Style Chinese cuisine. But I am pleased that when I asked for this accomodation of no Rice and extra veggies they offered extra raw Bock Choy which was nice, as it looks like they still filled the entire Bowl with pretty generous amount of food (for us it felt that 2 people to share for lunch). We enjoyed our meals dinner sitting inside this very bright and open moden open space. They have pretty interesting fresh modern decor and young Millennials music and Young, Casual, Uber Modern vibe to this casual Chinese Hunan Cuisine place. We sat next to many young couples on Saturday early evening dinner.
Our food was delicious.
We will definitely be back anytime when we are...

The highlight of our meal were definitely the noodles. You MUST try their spicy & sour fish noodle soup. It was sour, yet spicy, and super addicting ๐ฉ (I brought home the soup to make another meal for lunch). Their rice noodles also perfectly soaked up the pork & pepper sauce ๐คค. Also donโt sleep on their Hunan tofu ๐ฎโ๐จ.
I understand why they have multiple locations throughout the city. If I lived nearby one, I would order their spicy & sour fish noodle soup at least once a week ๐ฉ.
(P.S.) ๐ถ๏ธ The spice level here definitely has that Hunan kick! We got the med level and it was decently spicy...
ย ย ย Read moreI was particularly impressed by how the restaurant manages to balance their noodle dishes, generously incorporating both protein and vegetables in such a way that the carbs seem to vanish into the background.
The portion sizes are notably satisfying, ensuring that you leave feeling well-fed. Their cold dishes stand out for their flavor, adding a delicious variety to the meal options.
Additionally, the pricing is quite affordable, making it a great value for the quality received.
A word of caution to those who love spicy food: I consider myself lucky for not attempting the โHunan Spicyโ level. Despite being from Hunan, I opted for a lower spice level, which proved wise as even that had my friends experiencing a significant level of discomfort. So, to all the spice enthusiasts out there, proceed...
