We cannot be happier with our stay at the Ludlow! This will be our only pick when staying in NYC from now on.
Service: From the email responses, check-in, housekeeping, the restaurant (on Mother’s Day of all days) to check-out, the staff exceeded all expectations. I would like to give a special thank you to the housekeeping staff who we so friendly.
Room – King Studio: The room was well appointed and very comfortable. It was approx. 250 sq. Ft and had lots of room to move around. The bathroom shower is one you never want to leave and if you you’re that kind of person you can show off your goods to lower Manhattan through the large window. You can also keep the curtain closed if you’re a little more modest. The bed and pillows were super premium with a bed being a little on the soft side. There was a large wardrobe and plenty of hangers. There is a fully stocked bar fridge and some snacks for a fee.
Check-in/out: Very fast and friendly. Check-out is also at noon which is rare, and they have no issues letting you check-out a little later if there is availability.
Restaurant: We only had Sunday brunch which I’m not sure if it’s only on Sunday or special for Mother’s Day but it’s easily the best brunch ever! Gluten free was not an issue.
Views: We were on the 13th floor (1311) and were located on the corner which allowed for a stunning view of the city.
AMEX Platinum: We are Platinum member’s, and this gave us a room upgrade (based on availability) and $75 credit to spend in amenities which paid for brunch. We’re happy with these benefits and would highly recommend this card for just that reason alone.
Extras: As this was a special wedding anniversary weekend we were treated to a complimentary bottle of...
Read moreBooked rooms here for a conference we are attending and we start our trip by the reservations team loosing my coworkers reservation. They 'get her taken care of' on Friday but would have to move room on Monday. Inconvenient but not a huge deal.. Fast forward to Sunday evening and we check the front desk to be sure all is taken care of only to find they have cancelled her reservation and the front desk really did not care. They had no room and made no move to make things right. To top that off the front desk manager hid in the back instead of coming out to address the situation. Adding to ALL of this and the rooms are TINY. There's no place to put clothes or even a suitcase. Wouldn't go back here unless I wanted to hang out at their beautiful bar.Stayed at The Ludlow for the 2nd time. Great staff, rooms and service! Jaimie runs a cool bar/lounge and the Dirty French Restaurant is outstanding. Kelsey and Jose...
Read moreAbsolutely fantastic hotel, full of character and charm. The first impression upon entering is of the lovely lounge/bar area with a fireplace and cosy greenhouse kind of garden in the back. We stayed in a studio queen room, which was just as shown on pictures, beautifully furnished and decorated; very chique. Bathroom and shower is gorgeous! Everything was immaculately clean and well thought through down to the smallest details. The room was equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine amongst other luxuries. The lounge/bar is cosy and calm during the day, and very lively and happening at night. The area around the hotel is great, lots of restaurants, cafes and bars you'll want to check out, and a very nice atmosphere in general. Venturing further afield, most of lower manhattan is easy to explore on foot from the hotel, with underground stations and cabs at the doorstep if preferred, offering easy access to...
