I had an unfortunate experience today when my Tesla Model X got a flat tire after hitting a pothole in the Lincoln Tunnel. I immediately contacted roadside assistance, and they dispatched A1 Towing to assist me. I must say that the driver was exceptional throughout the entire process. He was incredibly polite and took great care of my car. He maintained excellent communication with me and even sent a picture of my car parked neatly in my driveway after delivering it.

However, the only drawback was the waiting time. Roadside assistance initially informed me that they would arrive within 90 minutes. Unfortunately, when the 90 minutes passed, I received a text from A1 Towing stating that a truck would arrive in the next 30 to 45 minutes. This extended waiting period was quite inconvenient, especially considering I was in Manhattan at the time.

Nevertheless, despite the delay, the A1 Towing team were all fantastic people to work with. Their professionalism and attention to detail were commendable. Pls do not book with this company. At 4pm I called them and asked for an inquiry about towing my car. One of the representatives said it will be $300 cash and if with card 326. He told me the driver will be at my destination in an hour. An hour passed by I called him again and asked for an accurate ETA and he said another hour. This was going on for four hours . The representative wouldn’t give us an accurate time of when the driver will arrive to me. He kept saying the driver will be there in 60 mins, and this is where it became frustrating. The tow driver ended up coming to me at 8pm. The driver told me the company just sent him out at 7:31 and they never told him about towing my car earlier. Which they wasted my time for four hours. When I got to the destination I took out cash to give the driver and the driver said the total was $326 and not $300. He then called the same representative that had us waiting and the representative told me that he forgot to update me about to price and how it’s not $300 anymore. Waited on a flat tire fix for the Tesla. Operator said will take at most 2 hours, which is typically the time span given and I’m okay with that.

Was in midtown waiting for a tow, where it took an hour and 55 minutes to reach me. And that is after I had to message through Google to the owner AND call the shop and reach to actually get someone to prioritize the car. Operator on the phone sounded like he had no care in the world but owner seemed quick to respond and get on top of it. I have unfortunately had my car towed before for this reason, but this is the only time I’ve ever had to wait 2 full hours to actually move the car! Their office location was less than 10 minutes from where I was. The owner provided rationale on some overall volume and pick up issues for their trucks, but if volume is an issue I highly suggest them to increase their fleet size.
