I have always had a delightful dining experience at this wonderful restaurant. Vanessa's Dumpling offers a delectable selection of Chinese cuisine that never fails to satisfy my taste buds. The menu boasts a variety of mouthwatering dishes, with highlights including the flavorful spicy pork, delectable chicken dumplings, and the aromatic basil chicken. However, the true standout at Vanessa's Dumpling is their scrumptious pancakes, which are undoubtedly a crowd favorite.
To complement the delicious food, the restaurant also offers an impressive selection of beverages. Whether you're in the mood for a refreshing draft beer, a delightful Sangria, or a glass of fine wine, Vanessa's Dumpling has something to suit every palate. Additionally, their smoothies, bubble tea, and ice tea are simply divine.
For those who prefer to enjoy their meal at home, Vanessa's Dumpling provides convenient takeaway options. The restaurant takes pride in its cheerful staff, whose friendly and attentive service contributes to the overall dining experience. Guests consistently praise the staff for their warm hospitality.
One of the standout features of Vanessa's Dumpling is its fair pricing. Visitors appreciate that they can indulge in delicious Chinese cuisine without breaking the bank. The combination of great food, reasonable prices, and friendly service makes Vanessa's Dumpling a top-rated establishment.
As you step into the restaurant, you'll be greeted by a peaceful and inviting atmosphere. The ambiance adds to the overall dining experience, making it a delightful place to relax and enjoy a fantastic meal.
In conclusion, Vanessa's Dumpling is a restaurant that consistently delivers a memorable dining experience. Read moreThis review is not on the food but the absolute terrible service that I have experienced. I have gotten dumplings here over 28 times. I love this place but the current staff is horrendous. I spent over $60 on dumplings and leaving about a 20% tip at the register, usually takes 10 minutes to get the order. I mentioned that I wanted to eat at there and it wasn’t to go. They said ok. The food came out 40 minutes later … 10 minutes before closing time. While I was eating they mentioned it was closing. I thought ok I’m almost done. Then they came back out at 10:05 (they close at 10:00) and told me that they were going to call 911 on me for eating at the business because it was a place of business and I had no business and being there after they closed. I said we would be finishing soon and we would clean up and leave as soon as we are done. They yelled at us that the order was to go (which it was not) and they were going to call the cops because they were there since 9am. I’m really not sure what their hours had to do which our time eating there. All I can say is what an awful experience being at one of our favorite dumpling spots, after paying $60 for dumplings and leaving about a 20% tip at the cash register because you order at the register. Two female staff members were screaming at us while we ate, the owner apologized and said it was okay, but honestly who wants to be screamed at...
Read moreIf you have read my reviews before, then you know that I assign stars and take away stars for different things at any given time. As with other restaurants in NYC, this one is fine. I had heard about it from a few friends, and decided to meet up with some in Williamsburg last weekend. The hype was definitely hype, but that's not to say the place wasn't good.
These were dumplings, what can I say? The one thing I remember clearly is trying to take apart four dumplings and saying to myself "These must have been frozen in a box somewhere and not individually made..." In addition to that, they didn't have any special taste that just made me say "OMG Vanessa's is my new home!"
Normally, this would score a restaurant 3 stars. The venue was nice and clean, and the food was "ok"... definitely a 3 star type place for me... but the prices! omg you can get like.... 8 dumplings for 3 bucks! That's a meal right there!
End of the day: It's definitely worth it, even if the food just isn't the best. The dumplings seem prepackaged/premade/processed food, and the soup was not good, but the price is WAY affordable, and it's a good place to just chill with...
