Chicken Salad Chick — Restaurant in Newnan

I am usually not a chicken salad kind of guy, but after prompting from my wife, my mom, and my sisters, I finally caved and tried Chicken Salad Chick.

It's very, very good, and I see what all the hype is about.

It's counter service, so while the staff at this location is friendly, you don't engage with them too much. Still, points for kind people who care about their jobs. The same girl took our order both visits, and she's been very friendly and fun to talk to both times. I wish I could remember her name just to give her props on this review.

As far as the food itself, it's various styles of chicken salad--you either like that or you don't. Having said that, and as someone who has always said that I don't really like chicken salad, it's very good, and there is (are?) enough variety of recipes on hand that you'll probably find one that you like.

I got mine on a BLT with a side cup of soup. That's the way to go. They provide you with some crackers on the side, I recommend picking up a bag of chips as well, simply to add some texture.

If I had any critique, it is simply that the menu is sort of hard to work, at least for me, mainly in terms of how many different combinations there are and what the differences are between them. But that's my problem, not yours.

IT'S CHICKEN SALAD, so you know what you're getting. And it's good, so just stop reading...

Ridiculous! There were three ladies in our party. We placed our orders and took a seat. Our one lady received her food within five minutes, I received my food about 20 minutes later, our third lady received her food about 35 minutes later after going to the counter and inquiring about it four times. The two kids working the counter who were delivering food to tables did not seem to have a clue. There were other patrons who waited even longer than we did for call ahead take out. Everyone was frustrated. I will not be going back for quite some time . This place needs some management and it sure did not appear that there was a manager on site. The most frustrating thing was that we all ordered scoops. Nothing had to be cooked or prepared; they merely had to dip it out of a container and put it on a plate. I finally spoke up for my friend at the counter and told them I was not budging until they scooped her food and handed it to me! It still took approximately five minutes for that to happen. A man beside me waited 10 minutes for someone to hand him 2 bags of chips which the server failed to bring out with his order! ...

I’ll probably stop coming to this location after this visit. The last three times I’ve gone there’s been some kind of issue. I’ll preface by saying there was only one person ahead of us tonight. After waiting 10 mins for our food they came out and said they were out of croissants. Ok no biggie. Then they came out and said they magically found some a few minutes later. Ok weird, but great…just make the food at this point. I’m glad I didn’t eat this in the car on the way home. Not only were the magic croissants hard…the lettuce is so old it was soggy and black on some parts. Gross. Either they just don’t care anymore or someone was making sandwiches with their eyes closed.

Edit: well dang…gave them another shot today and guess what?! Mold on the top of the croissant! I think I’m officially DONE with this one! Called and spoke with the manager- I’d have to go all the way up there for a refund? Why? You have my card info on the...
