This was the worst experience I've had at a restaurant ever! We had a party of 7 and was told it would be a 45 minute wait that we were fine with. We came back and was told it would be 30 more minutes, which we were fine with. We then came back and while they were cleaning the table for us we were told that the SERVER didn't want to serve anymore than a party of 6 and so they were going to have to split us up into 2 tables. Since when does a SERVER dictate how many people you can have in your party? What is the big deal of one more person? You then gave away our big table to a party of 2 and made us wait 20 more minutes for two tables to clear! We then got our food, which was very good by the way! We then paid our bill in cash and inadvertently left our cash envelope on the table. We realized what had happened when we went to make a purchase at another store not 15 minutes later and realized what was going on. We went back to the restaurant and NO ONE knew anything about the envelope. (Imagine that!). We walked out and then went back again 5 minutes later because that was the ONLY place it could be. We asked for the manager and was told that she had just walked out. We asked them to call her back and was told that the only number they had for her was the office number. We asked them to call her cell phone and was told that they didn't have that number. We then stated that we would be calling the police and having them look at the video from the cameras. The young gal then went to the back and when she returned she then said that she talked to the manager and she said to call the office tomorrow about looking at the video. (1st you don't have her number and then all of a sudden you spoke to her and she said to call tomorrow? Yeah right!) We then told them that we would be calling the police and then another gal came out from the back and asked if we were the ones that lost the wallet and we said again that it was an envelope of money, it was then suggested that it might have been thrown in the trash with the napkins. The gal then offered to go dig through the trash to look for it. The gal yelled out about 45 seconds later that she had found it and returned to the front with the envelope of money. HOWEVER the envelope had NOTHING on it as far as any sign of being in the trash AND the envelope had been folded in half which it was flat prior to "being thrown in the...
Read moreWe walked in, the hostess asked us how many, and then walked us to our table and walked away. didn’t say anything. 10 minutes later, our server came around and asked us to order our food. didn’t ask if we wanted drinks or anything. we ordered and she was shocked that every table wanted to order when she first walks over there. she was shocked we wanted waters with our meals, shocked my friend didn’t want anything with her food because she’s vegetarian. later, she brought us water, i thanked her, she ignored me and walked away. They sat a group of three next to us and she didn’t even bring them water until after they ordered and only interacted with them when she brought them their food. They waited so long and seemed so sad. she completely ignored both groups, us included. She didn’t check on us at all, didn’t refill our water, nothing. I ate one of my shrimps and they were so over cooked and tasted like nothing. she didn’t check on our food or ask if we wanted anything else, she just brought the checks and walked away. I don’t know if i will be going back. sad to say it. i love mos. but not when it’s...
Read more08/10/22 - First time at this location [drove an hour to try it]. Right on the waterfront, where fishing boats unload their catch. This location has a rather different menu from other Mo's locations we've been to -- e.g., less focus on deep-fried, and multiple presentations for most entrees, both of which we liked! Be cautious with their Steamers, wife had 4-5 very gritty and gave up. I ate the rest only getting 1-2 with grit, but they really should soak them longer to get all the sand out. My shrimp tacos were very good, and the chowder exceptional. Wife's shrimp salad was also very good. We ordered a Family size take-out chowder for dinner, as it might be the best ever. Highly recommended. Our server Justin was very pleasant, helpful, and just plain enjoyable to work with. Will definitely return to this location, even if staying at Lincoln City, which has a Mo's too. We like the Lincoln City location for deep-fried fish, but prefer the fish presentations in Mo's Annex at Newport. You can't go wrong with Mo's chowder, at any of...
